Uzo jumped up from his seat and ran to the door; he came back and sighted. Nkechi asked, Uzo, why are you running every 5 minutes to the door? What are you looking for at the door?
Nkechi, when do you say that mom is coming back from where she went to Uzo asked.
She went to see her friend, Madam Rose. Nkechi answered.
Oh, am hungry, when will she come back and then go to the market to get foodstuff and prepare for someone to eat, uzo says murmuring
Nkechi looked at him frowning; she asked him, which food are you talking about? You just finished a big bowl of rice, not quite long.
So, won't we eat this night he fired back?
Did mom tell you that you won't eat this night, meanwhile it's just 2pm and you are acting as if it is 7pm already nkechi fired back
Uzo was not having it and yelled at her "Can you learn to mind your business, is not your food"
Oh, she laughs and claps her hands. "So because it is not my food, that's why you will gobble in any available food, foodie," Nkechi says with a funny smirk on her face.
Why am I wasting my time talking to you? Good riddance to bad rubbish, uzo replied, storming out of the living room.
Nkechi laughed at him. "You will soon become a goblin as you want to swallow everybody at home.
As soon as Nkechi sat down to watch the television, her mom came in.
Good afternoon ma, you are welcome Nkechi greeted.
Good afternoon, my darling; where is your brother their mother asked her.
He is in his room, ma, she answered.
Uzo! uzo!! uzo!! Where did you say that your brother is in? Again their mother asked, standing up from her seat and walking toward her son's room.
When she got in, uzo was listening to music with his headphones, so he didn't hear the mother calling.
Uzo, his mother shouted tapping him on his legs. Uzo jumped up and stared, looking at the mother with a mixture of fear and excitement. He then recovers and hugs the mom.
Welcome, Mom, I have been waiting for you; Nkechi was even making fun of me that I was missing you said Uzo, pretending to be sad.
Well, I am here now, go wear your shoes. Let's head to the market said their mother to Uzo
But Mom, let Nkechi go to the market with you, I am tired Uzo says, frowning his face.

Uzo followed his mother to the market, after 2 hours of walking up and down in the market buying things. The mother decided it was time to head home.
When they got home, uzo was exhausted and slumped on the bed. Looking like some that dig a grave.
Nkechi and their mother started arranging things for cooking, and while they were at it, a call came in. She told Nkechi to continue, that she was coming with that she dashed out of the house.
Uzo, who was sleeping after the whole market, stressed, expecting that food would be ready by the time he woke up, was disappointed to wake up around 7 pm. Food was not ready, and their mother was nowhere to be found.
Nkechi, please, where is Mom? My stomach is rumbling, and Uzo Enquire looking very weak.
Just then, their mother came back with their father and elder brother, who was limbing; it turned out that Udoka, Nkechi, and uzo elder brother got into a fight at work.
Udoka was injured on his right leg, so he was taken to the hospital.
After they had set Udoka in his room, their mother set out to cook.
Uzo stomach was rumbling seriously, and Uzo couldn't take it any longer; he went into the kitchen to get permission to lick the ice cream and meat pic in the fridge.
Mom, please can I take the ice cream and meat pie in the fridge, I am hungry uzo asked, making a baby face.
No, you can't. Food will soon be ready; that ice cream is for your elder brother. You have taken your share; don't be a glutton their mother says with a stern face.
Uzo walked a little out of the kitchen and fainted. Their mom rushed and held him, panicking.
Who is there, their mom shouted, and their father and Nkechi came out. To help carry Uzo to the living room, where they poured him water, and when he opened his eyes, he was saying Mom am hungry.
Their mother asked Nkechi to microwave the meat pie and bring the ice cream for him.
Nkechi protested, Mom, uzo is pretending that ice cream, so he can lick the ice cream that is not his.
My friend will you go bring it now, and immediately it was brought. Uzo gobbled it with speed; easy, you will have a stomach upset their father said.
Nkechi looked at Uzo with an angry face cause she knew Uzo was pretending, and Uzo grinned with a wicked smirk; he wanted to finish that ice cream in the afternoon, but she refused.
After Uzo was done, udoka was unhappy; their father told Udoka not to worry. He bought something else for him. He brought out uzo favorite milky drink and pizza, pepper meat, and gave Nkechi and Udoka to feast on.
Uzo started crying that he wanted his own, but his mom told him nothing for him for pretending to faint and always wanting to finish whatever was brought for everybody alone. That's your punishment for always gobbling everything alone without sharing.
