In life, what works for Amadi might not work for Emeka. When it comes to remote and onsite jobs, I will say both of them have their advantages and disadvantages.
Remote jobs, for instance, allow you to have double streams of income, time to relax, and do what is best for you. You are your own boss; nobody bosses you around or shouts at you for every little mistake.
You don't have to be too cautious around people in the same workspace because you are the only one in your workspace. The thing with remote work, you can do your work anywhere and anytime. Just make sure to meet the deadlines you are given.
It helps you save more and reduce your risk of applying the road often on like onsite work. You will have time for your family, whether married or single. You can actually have jobs from all over the world, even without meeting the companies face to face, just online interviews.

Although as much as a remote job is cool, you get to mind your business. It still affects one in a way cause you will have less interaction with people, get to meet new people, and no new network or opportunities.
If you are someone who is easily distracted, don't even bother working remotely cause it takes a strong-willed person to work remotely. You must have a strong network to work remotely. If not, you will have issues with plenty of companies, and most times, cause of the network, you will not meet deadlines.
In onsite jobs, you get to work with people around you, and you have to interact with your team members every day; you have physical meetings where you agree and disagree together until you all arrive at a particular solution. Sometimes, you can have a dedicated work environment free of toxicity.
You have access to some resources you need to finish up a project on time and you still get the support of your colleagues. You share ideas; you won't need to be the only one cracking your head alone. But then it has its own ups and downs.
If you don't know how you carry yourself in your workplace you might have more enemies than friends especially when it comes to promotion and being the favorite of one of the high-ups
My preference
I love remote jobs more, despite their disadvantages; first of all, I am not even a social person; I like keeping to myself a lot. I love that quietness; I love whatever challenges me to think outside the box.
Currently, I work onsite; I can tell you for free, but I am not enjoying it at all. Cause there is this feeling my boss gives me. As if I am not wanted in that space, but he can't do away with me, like he's waiting for me to make a mistake that he will hold his hand and sack me.
The partiality in the onsite job is overwhelming; thank God I have two small online work that I am doing. I will try to develop my skills more as a researcher and quit my job.
I have made some cool people my friends in my workplace, and even if I leave today, I will still keep in touch. I have met people who laugh at your front and destroy you at the back. That is one experience you must get working onsite. It teaches you self-discipline, mindfulness, and tolerance
Any day, anytime I will still choose to work remotely for my peace of mind. If I need to mingle I will just hang out with friends. When I didn't have this job, I was working remotely; I didn't have to rush off early in the morning without having my breakfast. Sometimes, I ended up having both breakfast and lunch as dinner cause of how busy that day was.
I love the remote job, cause I can be working with three companies at the same time and be earning more but spending less, I will make my food at home instead of buying food outside and avoid food poisoning
