Whether we like it or not someone has always inspired us to be a better version of ourselves in one way or the other. It can be your friend, family, church member, or even an enemy who can indirectly motivate you to become a better and greater person.
Meet my Godfather, pastor Joel, a dedicated man of God, a Sunday school teacher, and a lecturer who has been guiding teenagers and youth for more than a decade now. He created a warm and engaging environment, making each child and youth that comes his way feel loved and valued.
I was among the youth who was struggling to connect most times with his lessons; often, I felt restless and disconnected most of the time at Sunday school. I guess my Godfather understood that I was having trouble following up with his teachings, and he changed his strategy. He made his class an interactive session. He encouraged me to participate in the class cause I was always quiet, and he started asking open-ended questions that sparked my curiosity.

Well, gradually, I started warming up to his teachings, which have started nurturing my growth; it helped me to develop a deeper understanding of faith and value.
I will say with his help, my transformation became remarkable.
I have become confident, enthusiastic, and compassionate. I became an inspiration to my peer group because of my newfound passion. I wanted to be like my Godfather. It didn't end there; he started taking me to where he mentors some of the teenager and youth parents on how to help their children grow spiritually. He even organized a community project, teaching teenagers and youth how to serve others.
My Godfather inspired me to be bold and remove fear from my mind. I used to have stage fright. I can't stand to ask questions that I know. Instead, I will whisper to others to answer it. My Godfather helped me to be bold and outspoken everywhere I go. I can boldly answer questions now without caring about people's reactions towards me.

Years later, I met another beautiful soul, Adams; I have overcome stage fright, but I have never really climbed the stage to teach, meeting Adams who believes in me more than I believe in myself, helped me develop my leadership skills; he was the one who pushed and encouraged me to mount the stage for the first time since my Godfather taught me self-confidence and boldness. For the first time. after I finished teaching and climbed down the stage, I felt fulfilled with happiness inside of me. Since then, anytime I am called up to teach I do it with ease. With Adams by my side, I started teaching in the children's department, even in weekly activities in the church. He didn't stop there but continued pestering me to take up Sunday school teaching. Which I refused because I wasn't ready. Adams will say you don't know what you carry; I will help you bring them out one by one.

I will just smile. It happened that one day, our pastor asked who was going to teach Sunday school the next Sunday, and everybody kept quiet suddenly Adams pointed at me and our pastor clapped for her, And I said no, sir I can't, my pastor walked up to me, and say you can, just believe it.
Finally, I did more than I would have imagined with the help of the Holy Spirit. Right now I feel blessed to have Adams and my Godfather beside me. My Godfather, who still inspires me up to date with his zealousness in the things of God, keeps pushing me to move forward and never relent or settle for less.
