Today practically here in Brazil was the last day of the long fair that we have due to Carnival. To give you an idea, generally we Brazilians say that the year only starts to “really count” after Carnival. But don't take it seriously, this is just an expression.
About Carnival, I honestly only like holidays, as this type of party doesn't suit me, yes... I had experiences of leaving home when I was younger and “playing a game of skipping Carnival” which is the expression we say here, but I didn't feel comfortable or safe, because for those who don't know, it's also a period of a lot of violence.
So, nowadays I already have a family, I have three children and one of them is a beautiful baby who is 1 year and 7 months old. I don't feel comfortable being in places where there are Carnival parties, so these days I dedicate myself to staying at home with my family.

Ash Wednesday
Today is Ash Wednesday, it is a religious date for us Catholics and this date symbolizes the beginning of Lent, where we Catholics will have 40 days of penance and reflection before Easter. To give you an idea, today we don't eat red meat but we eat fish. It is a cultural and also a religious thing to follow these things. From now on, every Friday, we must eat fish as an act of penance and reflection and this will only end when Easter day arrives.
During the night, I want to share with you my record of going to mass and taking our daughter for the first time. Since she is a baby, it is logical that she did not stay still during the mass. LOL

Well, even though we were outside, as there were a lot of people celebrating mass today, we still managed to participate, mainly we managed to receive the cross of ashes on our forehead, my daughter was very curious when they placed it on her forehead hahaha... In general, it was very good, because after mass I can say that we were able to renew our energy.

Olá meus amigos, tudo bem com vocês?
Hoje praticamente aqui no Brasil foi o último dia do longo feirado que temos por conta do Carnaval. Para você ter uma ideia, geralmente nós brasileiros falamos que o ano só começa a “valer de verdade” após o Carnaval. Mas não leve isso a sério, isso é apenas uma expressão.
Sobre o Carnaval, eu sinceramente só gosto do feriados, pois esse tipo de festa não combina comigo, sim... tive experiências em sair de casa quando era mais jovem e “brinquei de pular Carnaval” que é a expressão que dizemos aqui, mas não me sentia confortável ou seguro, pois para quem não sabe, é um período também de bastante violência.
Então como hoje em dia eu já possuo uma família, tenho três filhos e um deles é uma bebê linda com 1 ano e 7 meses. Eu não me sinto bem em está em locais onde existe as festas de Carnaval, então esses dias me dedico a ficar em casa com minha família.
Quarta-feira de Cinzas
Hoje, é o dia da Quarta-feira de Cinzas, é uma data religiosa para nós católicos e nesta data simboliza o início da Quaresma, onde nós católicos teremos 40 dias de penitência e reflexão que antecede a Páscoa. Para se ter uma ideia, hoje nós não comemos carne vermelha e sim comemos peixe. É algo cultural e também religioso seguir essas coisas. A partir de agora, toda sexta-feira, devemos comer peixe como um ato de penitência e reflexão e isso só acabará quando chegar o dia de Páscoa.
Durante a noite, quero compartilhar com vocês meu registro de que fomos à missa e levamos nossa filha pela primeira vez. Como ela é uma bebê, é lógico que ela não ficou quieta durante a missa. LOL
Bem, apesar de que estivemos do lado de fora, pois tinha muita gente hoje celebrando a missa, mesmo assim conseguimos participar, principalmente conseguimos receber a cruz de cinzas em nossa testa, minha filha ficou bastante curiosa quando colocaram na testa dela hahaha... De modo geral, foi muito bom, pois depois da missa posso dizer que pudemos renovar nossas energias.
