What is Conclave Arcana?
The Splinterlands game is card-based, meaning each player has a deck of cards available to play in battles. From time to time, a new card collection is released, completely changing the dynamics of the game.
This is what happened in May 2025 when the new card collection called Conclave Arcana was launched. I bought some packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in this #splinterlands #play2earn game!

Battle Analysis
First, let's check the Ruleset to know what adjustments we need to make to our strategy. This step is essential for sustainable growth in the game.
With these battle rules, we must avoid melee cards because they take damage with each successful attack. So, we should anticipate that the opponent will prioritize magic and ranged attackers, and prepare for that.
I decided to use the summoner Kavor Skarn, which I have at two BCX, though I prefer to rent a version like the one below. It enables the use of Dragon cards, which is a great help for someone with a small collection like mine!
I chose to use a melee card in the front line despite the initial disadvantage. However, I made sure to select one with a melee damage reduction ability. That can be useful. Also, high HP is a good trait.
Next, the best magic attacker I have available is Shoock Trooper, which deals four damage per round, but also causes self-damage after round two. This requires caution—I’ve often sacrificed him in battle. So I think twice before using this card!
In third position, we have my second-best magic attacker, Night Reaper, with three magic attack points—an excellent magic card to own. The remaining ones are ranged cards, whose basic role is to deal damage and survive as long as possible.
The battle begins, and we discover the opponent is trying a magic massacre! Unfortunately, he has good chances, as his summoner boosts magic attack by one.
By the second round, we already had definitive eliminations (after the first reborn). Strong cards battle in the front, and I hope to eliminate the opponent and get eliminated in turn, to avoid Shook’s damage.
We reach round four in a delicate situation: both of us have two ranged cards in the backline. They can’t attack from the first position, so everything is very uncertain. At this moment, anyone could win. Attack speed could be the key to determining who survives and who falls.
In the fifth round, the opponent’s last ranged card reaches the first position, from which it cannot attack. So it's only a matter of time until it's eliminated and victory is mine.

O que é Conclave Arcana?

Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada Conclave Arcana. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #splinterlands que é #play2earn!

Análise de Batalhas
Primeiro vamos verificar o Ruleset para saber quais são as adaptações que devemos fazer na estratégia do jogo. Esse passo é fundamental para um crescimento sustentável no jogo.
Com essas regras de batalha devemos evitar os cards do tipo melee pois eles vão sofrer dano a cada ataque bem sucedido. Logo devemos prever que o adversário vai priorizar atacantes mágicos e ranged, e dessa forma devemos nos prevenir para esse cenário.
Decidi por utilizar o invocador Kavor Skarn que tenho em dois BCX, porém prefiro manter em aluguel uma versão como esta abaixo. Ele proporciona ativar os cards do tipo Dragon que facilitar a escolha para alguem que tem poucos cards como no meu caso!
Decidi por usar um card melee na linha de frente mesmo com a desvantagem inicial. Porém tivo o cuidado de usar um com habilidade de redução de dano melee. Isso pode ser útil. Além disso muitos pontos de vida são uma boa opção.
Em seguida o melhor atacante mágico que tenho disponível, com quatro pontos de dano por round que é Shoock Trooper mas também me causa dano após o segundo round. Isso demanda cuidado e muitas vezes já me sacrifiquei em batalha. Por isso penso duas vezes antes de escalar esse card!
Em terceiro temos meu segundo melhor ataque mágico que é Night Reaper com três pontos de ataque mágico, um card mágico excelente para se ter em casa. Os restantes são cards ranged que tem sua função básica de causar dano e sobreviver o máximo de tempo possível.
A batalha se apresenta e descobrimos a tentativa do adversário em executar um massacre mágico! Infelizmente ele terá boas chances, pois seu invocador aumenta em um ponto o ataque mágico da equipe.
No segundo round já tivemos eliminações definitivas, que são após o primeiro reborn. Disputam a linha de frente os cards poderosos, e eu torço para eliminar o adversário e ser eliminado em seguida, para não sofrer o dano de Shook.
Chegamos no quarto round com uma situação delicada: ambos temos dois cards ranged na retaguarda. Eles não atacam desde a primeira posição, então tudo está muito incerto. Neste momento qualquer um poderia vencer. A velocidade de ataque pode ser decisiva para estabelecer quem vive e quem sucumbe.
No quinto round vemos o adversário chegar com seu último card ranged até a primeira posição, de onde ele não pode efetuar ataques, então é apenas uma questão de tempo até ser eliminado e conceder a vitória.
