As humans, it is very possible to get caught up in a lot of activities and responsibilities, and the need for balance comes into play because it is so important. If a person is not able to find a balance in everything they are doing, it will be very easy to get frustrated and disorganized. It is very important to put everything in the right proportion so as to have a quality life. Although, saying all these is very easy, but the actual act of balancing things is not very easy as life can actually be very demanding.
When I was still a student (unrelated, but it feels so good to say this), I started doing business, and I had to balance it with my schooling. I had to attend to customers promptly and also find enough time for my school work, lessons, and assignments. It was actually tedious, and this reminds me of a particular time when I had to pick up my goods from the car park, and the driver was threatening me that he would take my goods back to the destination he brought them from if I didn't come that morning. I had to run along at that moment, despite having an early morning class. I tried to leave early so that I would still meet the class, but I only got there towards the end of the class. Fortunately for me, I didn't miss much, but the lecturer gives impromptu tests at times at the beginning of his class, and I could have missed it.
Being at home after finishing school, I have new responsibilities, and striking a balance between all of them at once has been really tedious. I have chores that I do daily; I have a course I am learning online through two separate platforms, so I have to attend my lectures; and sometimes I do have assignments to submit and deadlines to meet up with. I also have to show up for my business by taking pictures sometimes, creating contents, and posting online. There is also hive, where I have to meet up with my streak every day and also engage with other authors' posts. Most times, I get really overwhelmed, and I am someone who cries easily when I am inconvenient or sad in any way. Striking a balance between all of it has been really difficult, but I know the best approach to tackle this problem. I have put it into practice a couple of times, so it is tested and trusted.
Time management and planning are, in my opinion, the main secrets to building a balanced life. I realized that I can actually do all these things in a day if I plan my day well and learn how to use my time efficiently. Creating a to-do list has proven to be very effective because, as you tick tasks off your list, you get this sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. I have this jotter that has the name 'MY DAILY PLANNER' written on it, and on the inside is a space for dates and 'TO-DO as the headline. I have not used this jotter before, but I am starting tomorrow, and that's by writing down my to-do list for tomorrow tonight.

This can help a person to be more organized and finally get the hack of having a balanced life. I think this is a practice that can last a long time, and if it is done every day, it can become a part of a person's life and contribute greatly to their level of discipline. I also feel this approach needs intentionality; you have to be intentional about your growth and goals so you can stick to the plan every single day.
