Apparently recruitment firms are also having to change their work practices sifting through AI generated CV's. They are easy to spot saturated with key words and are generally all the same so no one stands out. this is not about the substance, but more about the effort you personally took creating your CV which is holding far more value than a generated CV.

This morning I was chatting with a human resources manager working for a large company and she mentioned how difficult it was these days to find the right people to hire. I thought it would be the exact opposite with so many qualified people out of work looking for employment the job should be far easier.

They have many in house departments with the one she was bitching about was the marketing and advertising department. The problem is each time they advertise a position they are inundated with CV's that all tend to look the same as they are all AI generated and these end up in the bin. Why anyone would even think using AI to write their CV is beyond my way of thinking because it does send the wrong message.

The ones that stand out are the ones the people have taken their time and done themselves because the fear is when it comes to work will they physically do the work themselves or rely on AI. When you are dealing with a job requiring creativity and personal input there is going to be ahigh chance if someone could not take the time to do their own CV that they would also use AI to do the bulk of the work which is not what they want to see.

If that was the case they would have one or two people using AI to oversee all the work anyway and that is not what they desire. The problem with the youngsters today is they do not know the meaning of work and they are always looking for the easy option by cutting corners.

I would presume many of these roles they are trying to fill will no longer be seen as jobs in the future because AI will replace most office related positions anyway as that is the direction we are heading. My daughters partner just got a new role moving jobs with him being involved with computers and project management and I do wonder how long his role will last as I do see this on the chopping block over the coming years. Very few jobs are safe especially if you are an employee and you have to specialize in whatever field you select or your job will disappear.

I have to admit I have had some run ins with the younger generation with regard to their work ethic as there is none. Apparently they do not see work as a career path, but more about paying the bills. This kind of rings true from what I have experienced as they are nowhere to be found if over time is required as that is not what they signed up for.

You have to ask yourself what have we generated because the molly coddling parenting has made matters even worse. With each generation the youngsters are just too soft and do not align with the real world and possibly why we have a bunch of youngsters aligned with their feelings. Maybe the older generation said the same thing about us and this is how it works with men no longer being men and the fairer sex wanting to fill their roles.
