As a teenager, the mirror was my best friend. I would stand in front of it for hours, admiring myself, practicing my smile, and figuring out exactly which clothes fit me best. Beauty was something I worked hard for, but as I grew into a young adult, that innocent self-admiration turned into a stressful struggle for external validation.

Here is my journey to finding true confidence, and the simple secrets I use to keep my skin glowing today!
🪞 Question 1: Do you try to look your best for others, or to feel good about yourself?
For a very long time, I was definitely doing it for others.
As a young adult, I started struggling with severe pimples and dark spots. Every time I looked in the mirror, those marks felt like they were stealing my beauty. I became overly conscious of how people saw me. It bothered me deeply when people would point out my acne and tell me I "needed to do something about it."

Desperate to feel good in my skin and to please others, I started buying all sorts of face and skin products. Sadly, many of these did more harm than good, leaving me with stretch marks and even more anxiety. Around the same time, I also gained a significant amount of weight. My body changed, and the struggle to find clothes that actually fit me added to my insecurities. I realized then that I wasn't trying to look my best for myself, I cared entirely too much about other people’s opinions and wanted them to see me in a positive light.
The Turning Point
Today, everything has changed! I have lost the extra weight, my pimples and dark spots have cleared, and my confidence has skyrocketed. My mindset completely shifted. Now, I try to look my best entirely to feel good about myself. I feel smart, comfortable, and confident in my own skin. Because I no longer worry about other people's opinions, I naturally attract admiration from others, just as I admire myself!

🧴 Question 2: Do you have any personal care tips or secrets?
When it comes to personal care, I learned the hard way that less is actually more. You don't need a complicated routine to look good! Here are my top two secrets:
1. Healing from the Inside Out (Diet)
My biggest beauty secret was changing my diet. I stopped eating certain things I used to consider staple foods, like spaghetti, noodles, and store-bought juices. Most importantly, I cut out processed sugar! I also increased my water intake significantly. Almost immediately, I noticed a massive difference. Now, I can just step out of the shower and my skin naturally glows.
2. The Magic of Raw Shea Butter
After years of trying expensive and sometimes harmful chemical products, I now use only one thing for my skin: Shea Butter. I have been genuinely surprised by how deeply it nourishes and heals. It is so pure and effective that I have used it on my 1-year-old daughter since birth, and neither of us has had a single skin issue.

If you are tired of spending money on different products that don't work, you should absolutely try raw shea butter. I am dark-skinned and my daughter is light-skinned, and the beautiful thing about shea butter is that it works perfectly and safely on any skin type or complexion.

True beauty starts when you decide to take care of yourself, for yourself.
