Maybe the reason why your nation and economy is how it is is because you neglect a vital responsibility. There is where you will raise this topic and they will chew you alive with words. If only words to start with. Illustrations will come out from where politics has currently kept them.

It was a discussion I had with a friend concerning the future. Many just believe that for a better nation, politics needs to be scraped out. It has been seen as a channel to loot and oppress the masses.
Without doubt, we have witnessed all these and more and there will be not much time to list them out. Nevertheless, let's find out the difference between ‘people in politics’ and politics itself.
For instance, is there anything bad about a knife? No, but it becomes something different in the hands of a gangster. It could be a weapon to rob and harm others. So the gangster made the knife bad and it is very prohibited to go around with it.
So we can see that it is humans that spoil things. What was the essence of politics? To give offices to suiting persons (it was meant to leverage the integrity of men for general benefits).
We are all involved in politics one way or the other to start with. A family has father, mother and children and we all know how the political hierarchy goes. Maybe I should illustrate something else out of this.
You had two sons, the first one is very careless and mismanages everything while the other is an entire opposite. If you wanted to give something worth managing to someone, which would you give? The second son right? and that's politics, why? Because the aim is to use the right person and not just anybody so that the potentials can be a general benefit.
Even in ancient times and biblical context, we have seen this playing out severally. God rejected one person’s gift for another, He also rejected a sitting king and placed a new one. Voting and lots were often cast by then. The story of Jesus shows him picking his twelve.
To wrap it up, please don't run or shrink back from political offices. If you want to see a government of integrity then you will have to step in when called upon. As I earlier said, this structure was created to put the right people in place.
Let's walk pass the days of ignorance. As a Christian, God is very much interested to use you and change a lot of wrong things in your country and globally. Do you think He doesn't hear the outcries of His people? He will need to use men in the process and when these men reject the needed office, the suffering is very likely to continue.
