We are gradually pushing into the dry season that will soon turn harmattan over here. So, the sun has been out all day; a good one to get some things dried. A sunny day on Sunday I guess, should we press more into it?.
Why is it called Sunday? To easily break it apart, sun-day. So the pagans had the upper hand in this one as research shows Christian tagged it ‘The Lord’s day’.
If you are a good Bible student, you will understand the latter. Jesus died on Friday and rose on Sunday and adding to that, he made the majority of His appearance after resurrection on Sunday starting first with Mary. So the disciples tagged it ‘The Lord's day'.
On the other hand, there was a pagan move to attribute all days to the celestials and Sunday was attributed to the sun. Are you now feeling uncomfortable in one way to call it Sunday?. May God help us through.
How has my Sunday been? Well, some forgone alternatives and delayed processing. There are some things I thought I would meet up today that ended up the vice. It is not that I am happy about that but I have to keep my head straight and composed enough. Some days are very trying and you will need both God's help and God's mercy to scale through.
One thing can lead to another and this is when you know that human strength can fail. It is not that you didn't plan right, circumstances can step in. We all have this experience when expectations end in futility. But what do we do here? We dust ourselves and we keep pushing.
‘If you cannot fly run, if you cannot run, walk, if you cannot walk crawl, maybe I should also add this, if you can't crawl, roll: the entire idea is this, ‘just keep moving’. I know there are some times that slow steps are not welcoming but it gets worse if you are stagnated.
Refuse situations and people to meet you the same way they saw or left you. And you know I mean, you shouldn't decline to replace stagnation.
Expect trying times and days. For instance, that day or week when business didn't end up as expected; poor customer turnover, so many expenses or lots of pending transactions when you need this money to pull out many things. Do well not question God too much or did you question him in the days when things were going very smoothly?
We need to spend time digesting The Lord’s prayers no matter how inconveniencing it may seem. I know we mostly enjoy the part of ‘give us this day, our daily bread’. So what if God decides that your bread for today is ‘no bread’. Ohh!! You’ve never thought of such.
Let's wrap it up there and I hope there is something to take home. Be thankful, yes, be thankful. It can be difficult to swallow but where you are presently, someone else is putting a lot of effort into ascertaining. God has been good to you. You don't need to tick every box as an overall proof. Life just like the financial markets candle mimics is full of ups and downs. Just don't let your down time wear you off.
