Have you ever worked with a team where everyone is top notch. How did it feel or maybe I should say, how did it go?. One good example to cite here is the game of football when a team is full of professionals with experience. If the opponents win, it was just by chance because a re-fixing still puts them as favorites to win.
I can remember such situations when we went to the nearby playground some years back for football training. It was teams at different ends just playing to keep themselves energized. So we opted to join them and they said we should go and form a team just as we were and wait for the next set outside. It was an underestimation that really cost them.
Our set became so undisputed and we dominate their entire session. I knew the people I was working with, we have been training and playing together for a long time. Maybe someone is still thinking; Ah!! When did dani-EL used to play? There is time for everything, so let's fast-forward.
We are going to talk about faith. It can be somewhat pitiful when trying to address this matter; ok, I am talking of the issue of milk members and how it can affect the Ecclesia movement. Can you remember what Moses said in boon of Numbers;
Numbers 11:27-29 NIV A young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”[28]Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ aide since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”[29]But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”
Maybe I also on the difference between Moses and this people.
Psalm 103:7 NIV He(God) made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
Have you ever imagined how it would have been if all the people going out with Moses had the same discernment and spiritual gifting like Moses?. Or do you think this is impossible? Let me also make this known, God is inexhaustible and is ready to see His people operate in supernatural dimensions.
Genesis 1:26 NIV Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
It was the plan right from inception. Or maybe you should also relate with these next scriptures.
Psalm 82:6 NIV I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’
But it seems so many believers haven't been able to live up to these standards. This is what makes Christianity seem very difficult; we are harboring so many weak members in one dimension of life or the other.
I am just imagining how fortified this Kingdom movement would have been if all or even majority had great faith, deeply rooted in the word, can heal the sick, raise the dead and preach the Goodnews with authority.
Without any doubt, we would have advanced more than this. But it seems the reverse is the case. Many believers are so prayerless, lack discernment and faint interest for spiritual things. They can't even stand the chance of defending themselves against spiritual attacks; at least to some extent to start with.
To conclude, let me add, there is much to be talked about here; how long are we going to operate with milk members? If you’ve been a believer for more than a decade or half of that, what has been that spiritual progress? Do you still enjoy being a burden to the household of faith? There is a need to step up our Christianity. This message (The Goodnews) is meant to be spreading to the ends of the world and it involves all of us living out the spirit filled potentials.
