There were times in my life I wouldn't post anything Jesus and Faith related in my social media handles. ‘Ahh! Dani!!! Don't be kiddish, your friends will laugh at you. There are several other things you can post and blend with trends’. I later realized that this was always the devil speaking. Thanks be to Jesus I have broken out of that cage.
And I will advise here: whether you are a content creator or content consumer, invest your time in things and places of value. It can also be a wide topic to run through because the world system has ‘flashes of assumed value’. This is where someone can stay online all day watching funny videos. And you can keep counting so many of such.
This is where it is appearing as if the children of this world are becoming wiser than the children of God. Ok, before getting much into that, maybe I should start from someone I think will be much easier to entirely connect with.
The online environment has become a place for business. We go there daily to advertise the products and services we have to exchange for a price (most preferably money). That's not bad, we have to earn a living. God has not called us out to be mediocre or lazy.
We have to take advantage of every necessary opportunity to dominate. I wrote an article some time ago that we are in the business of security; this where our entire existence is tied too. Financial security, health security, we want to secure love, bloodline security (this is where marriage and or children upbringing comes in). We can go on and on here but let me pause and ask: do you care about your spiritual security?
Mark 8:36-37 NIV What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? [37]Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
This is where I throw in this enlightenment, ‘Do you know you can turn your online presence also to a spiritual investment?’. It doesn't stop your daily business activities. In short, this has been something I have been looking into. Personally, I keep my business premises to even start well boosted with gospel music, the entire environment knows us for that. I am working on doing more; bringing in gospel frames to put in our walls to help customers read through God's word.
Coming back online, you can help spread Jesus by devoting time and space for this content. You don't need to be a content creator to start with. There are many Christian and faith building post that you can just help repost, a quote that can change someone’s day, a picture and some write up that links back to Jesus.
In conclusion, let me add, the internet is a space for business and ‘The Father's Business’ should not be an exemption. The internet helps in global connection and it is a good platform for soul winning. You can still remember what the scriptures says; WHAT SHALL YOU GIVE IN EXCHANGE. Life is a business of security, PRESS TO SECURE ETERNITY
