Summer was nearly over and the glacial ice continues to melt. What a special treat to view, as I made my way back downward. The sun was shimmering off the trickling ice water. So pretty it was, almost magical. I could not see any glacial ice, but it was up there somewhere, just out of view. In these parts, the glaciers grow and shrink with the seasons. Is the glacier itself in decline? No way to tell for sure. The general consensus is that the Canadian Rockies glaciers are in decline, thats the official narrative, I don’t always believe the official narratives though. I do know that cooler and warmer temperatures come in cycles, and these cycles decades long.
