Esta vez nos fuimos a la playa, aprovechando que mi suegra, mis cuñados y mis sobrinas nos estaban visitando en nuestra ciudad. Esta es mi familia política, a la cual respeto y los quiero mucho.
Les cuento que el que viene a Cumaná y no va a la playa, ¡es porque no quiere! Aquí tenemos la dicha de contar con playas tan cerca de casa que podemos ir con total tranquilidad. En esta ocasión fuimos a la playa Quetepe, un lugar hermoso de aguas cristalinas y arena suave, perfecto para relajarse. Además, cuenta con una buena atención en sus kioscos, alquiler de toldos, sillas y todo lo necesario para pasar un día cómodo.

This time we went to the beach, taking advantage of the fact that my mother-in-law, my brothers- and sisters-in-law, and my nieces were visiting us in our city. This is my in-law family, whom I respect and love very much.
Let me tell you, if you come to Cumaná and don’t go to the beach, it’s because you don’t want to! Here, we’re lucky enough to have beaches so close to home that we can go whenever we want. This time, we went to Quetepe Beach, a beautiful spot with crystal-clear waters and soft sand—perfect for relaxing. Plus, the beach huts offer great service, and you can rent umbrellas, chairs, and everything else you need for a comfortable day.
Quetepe es una playa maravillosa, ideal para que los niños disfruten con seguridad. Les puedo decir que pasamos una tarde increíble: nos bañamos en el mar, comimos, nos tomamos unas cervecitas bien frías y conversamos muchísimo. Teníamos tiempo sin reunirnos así; en particular, hablé muchísimo y nos contamos tantas cosas que reímos de más, ya que la familia de mi esposo vive en Puerto La Cruz, a un par de horas de donde nosotros estamos, y son las pocas veces que nos reunimos.
Reunirse con los seres queridos es de las cosas más valiosas que existen en este mundo; en estos compartir siempre recordaré a mi hijo, ya que él disfrutaba de estas reuniones en familia. Por eso afirmó que de estos momentos nos quedan recuerdos hermosos y muy preciados. Así que, amigos, les digo: cada vez que tengan la oportunidad de compartir en familia, no la dejen pasar, porque nunca sabemos cuándo nos volveremos a encontrar.
Quetepe is a wonderful beach, perfect for kids to enjoy safely. I can tell you we had an incredible afternoon: we swam in the ocean, ate, had some nice cold beers, and talked a lot. It had been a while since we’d gotten together like this; I, in particular, talked a lot, and we shared so many stories that we laughed nonstop, since my husband’s family lives in Puerto La Cruz, a couple of hours away from where we are, and these are the rare occasions when we get together.

That’s why I say that these moments leave us with beautiful and deeply cherished memories.
