Feliz y bendecido día
Happy and blessed day

Hola, amigos.

Hi, friends. I’m back here in the #empowertalent community, as I am every Tuesday, to take part in another talent gathering thanks to an invitation from our friend @angelica7. This time, she’s brought us a topic that really invites us to reflect: the best piece of clothing.
When I read the title, I immediately thought of my favorite pieces of clothing. However, beyond just a piece of fabric, today I want to talk to you about how my best “outfit” is my attitude toward life.
Let me tell you, friends, that ever since I started working, I’ve had the luxury of buying the clothes I liked to wear. I really enjoyed pairing my outfits with accessories; that brought me joy, and many people complimented my style.
So much so that my son always enjoyed seeing me well-groomed and put together. When his friends told him I looked too young to be his mom, he would reply proudly: “It’s just that she knows how to dress; but my mom is his age—she just doesn’t look it.” At work, they also appreciated my style, since I liked to wear all kinds of colors to always look radiant.
Unfortunately, following my son’s passing, that desire to dress in bright colors faded. For a while, I only wanted to wear black. As time went on, I gradually changed the colors of my clothes; I wear white, beige, lilac, and gray—lighter shades—but still a far cry from the bold colors of the past. I remember once going to Traki to buy some sweaters, and when I tried on a blue one, I felt deeply uncomfortable; I no longer saw myself in those clothes—I just felt out of place.
I believe that clothing is a reflection of our inner state of mind. Before, I felt radiant, and the way I dressed was my way of shouting to the world just how happy I was. Today, my outfit came from a different place, honoring the pain and the emptiness in my soul.
Now I can tell you that throughout my life I’ve come to understand that dressing elegantly doesn’t depend on a palette of bright colors or on what’s in fashion, and although I’ve changed the shades I wear and my pace has slowed, my attitude remains steadfast in the face of life’s ups and downs; I wake up every day, fill myself with strength, and continue to love with the same intensity to keep moving forward in this life. That is why I say that the best garment I wear is reflected in my daily actions—in the dignity with which I embrace my story and in the way I treat and interact with others.
I give thanks every day for the life I’ve been given, whether it’s sad or joyful. That concludes my post based on my experience. Thank you for reading and visiting this post; may we all learn so much more every day.
