I didn't have any plans of writing today, but checking to see what was the #februaryinleo prompt today got me excited, so I decided to make an entry. I also would love my friends @rubilu, @yahuzah and @josediccus's input on the matter "What is in your crypto portfolio".

I believe this is a great opportunity both to share my own portfolio and get peoples' thoughts, as well as discover some hidden gems from others that might not have come on my radar.
Anyways, getting into it....

My portfolio

HIVE

Hive makes up the greater portion of my portfolio because I’m involved with Hive directly and I can see and assess it’s potential for the future. Developments like INLEO’s rapid growth and mission to replace web 3 options like twitter for both long term and short term, Play2Earn options like splinterlands, Muterra, Holozing and Terra Core, Riverio’s questions and answers platform (an alternative to Quora and the likes), Liketu’s Instagram on steroids, and so much more. Hive is literally the web 3 upgrade of every web 2 (and even some web 3) social media platforms hosted on one blockchain. In my opinion, a blockchain will be as successful as the Dapps and projects built on it grow significantly, because that gives it more use cases.

At the moment, I’m not holding on to any liquid Hive, but have most of my Hive staked because I believe it’ll be a while before we’re at a point in the market where it would be reasonable to take profit.

DOT

I’ve been scouting for some potential projects to look into recently and Polkadot came on my radar. Why I think it’ll make for a great long-term investment is the interoperability solution it offers. It allows multiple blockchains to communicate, allowing you to build on many blockchains simultaneously, leveraging on the advantage of each one of them.

What I found more interesting was their Project Substrate which basically allows anyone to create their own custom blockchain. I believe that with the evolution of the blockchain space, more people are going to want to create their own blockchains in the future, and Polkadot will amass huge numbers in adoption thanks to this feature.

At the moment, I only have a small amount of Polkadot cos I just started accumulating, but I’m sure I’ll have a lot more by the end of year.

SOL

Why I’m buying into Solana is not just about its utility, but because I’ve seen them nearly get wiped out, but they rose from the ashes once again. Somewhere in the heat of the lowest of the low of the bear last year when SOL was around $18, I called a friend and advised him to buy some SOL. He heeded my words and bought 3. Unbeknownst to me though, he sold all 3 when SOL went to $24. I don’t really blame him cos rookies get excited at the latest coinmarket cap notifications. Now, SOL has already done a 6x and we're not even sure this bull party has started yet!

I’ve always believed Solana is a great project, especially because of two projects built on it – Audius and Serum.

If you don’t know about Audius yet, it’s what I like to think of as the future of music. As people wake up to the scam of music streaming platforms like apple music and spotify, Audius will be the solution most artists seek cos it connects artists directly to fans giving them true ownership over music. In the future, I plan to add Audio, the native token of Audius to my portfolio as well. As a decentralized exchange, I believe Serum has some potential as well, I’m just not really that focused on it.

LEO

I’m putting this here because I want to close off with our own LEO! I have only been around Hive for 2 years, but the growth and development I’ve seen underscores the commitment competency of the INLEO team!

I watched LeoFinance INLEO go from simply a front end for finance-exclusive community, to a competitor against web 2 alternatives like X, and I’ve seen the dedication put into several campaigns to promote not just INLEO adoption, but the adoption of Hive itself. I believe in the potential of LEO, and I’m stacking now for the long-term.

I did slack a bit with my LEO goals somewhere last year because of personal issues, but I’m hoping that this year, I’ll do significantly better and stack up more.

Well, these some of the things I have in my portfolio as of now. There a few other projects I have my eyes on, or am accumulating slowly, but I can’t really cover everything in one post. BTC is #1 on my get-next list now.

Lemme know what you think about my portfolio and share what you have in your crypto portfolio by joining the #februaryinleo monthly initiative and writing on the #cryptomonday prompt:)
