Hello All
Welcome to my Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret challenge. Today I am sharing you guys my battle with a new theme, which the theme is LITTLE LEAGUE RULESET. For you who do not familiar with Little League Ruleset, It is a ruleset that allow units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less joining the battle. Above 4, they can't join in.
There are many line up, Meta, or tactics we can use on this ruleset. On lower level league, I prefer using Water, Fire and Life Element... However on higher level, I prefer to go with Death because Death is kinda overpower in this ruleset from my perspective
So let's see our battle then
THE BATTLE
Wow, we had this Death vs Death element guys. It's a Silver Battle Rank, so all of us here were Human players. My opponents came with maximum level, he should be suck, why on earth Max level deck lingered on Silver 1 league.
So how did it start anyway?

It started from these ruleset. A holy protection with little league rulesets. I saw Earth Life and Death there, so the choice for me definitely would be Death. For me if death would not meet the condition due to other rulesets, then I would go for the others
Why Death Element?
This is the core of this Battle Mage SEcret post. Why do we need to go with Death during Little League? It is not because of DEATH has strong units, or death summoners could link well with small mana units. Other element could do that too.
The answer or the reason is simple, because only Death can deliver complete package. Death has small units which can do different things, so you could go with plenty of meta with death element during this little league ruleset. You can go full melee, you can go full range, you can go with magic, you can hit hard, you can play with status ailments and many more...
So in this post, I will share you guys how or what my meta is on my Death Team
AFFLICTION ~ Anti Heals
Only death has affliction available with cheap cards, The Shadow Snitch. I need their tank to suffer from affliction, that way they might stop healing the tank and I could kill it easily.

Overall Shadow Snitch stats is good, not great but more than good. He could damage 3, he has 4 speed, and 6 health point which makes him can be considered a good secondary tank.
POISON ~ Tank and Backline Targeted
I like to poison my enemy using death element during little league ruleset, and only death could do it both way... through their main gate, their tank... and through back line using the help of Uraeus, a neutral element unit.

The great thing using these both units, they are not so slow... they are not some units with 1-2 speed, which typically wait and get killed first without doing anything. If they do not get killed fast, as time progresses, they will become bigger threats for their enemy.
BIG HITTER ~ The DPS dude

Soul strangler is not a strong unit, he can be killed easily. However he hits very hard. Yes he is a big hitter although the mana cost and health point is very far from "Big". Seriously, 4 range damage? that's absolutely great...
One word for him, GLASS CANNON!!
THE DEFENSE

In my opinion, Death Element small units defense is one of the best one. In general, all element could use Xenith Monk, nothing special about it right? However not all element has that "PROTECT" ability, especially when you play modern format.
So the combination of Ravenwood Warden who has a PROTECT ability with Xenith Monk, make the death element defense hard to breach or knock off.
OK It seems I have blabbered too much, so Let see how this would go then...

- The battle started with both of us buffing up our team and debuffing our opponents. My opponent came with magic focus line up, which would be their biggest mistake here. My team came with a mix attacks, melee, range and magic
- My opponent had 5 melee damage and 4 magic damage. It's a combined 9 damage per round.
- My team had 7 melee damage, 6 range damage, ad 1 magic damage. It's a 15 damage per round, definitely a lot higher than my opponent's fire power.
- I think this battle would be decided on how fast they could kill my Xenith Monk, else their magic line up would be a waste.

-
We started with similar tank formation and their levels were higher, however I managed to take out their Xenith Monk in the first round thanks to my Soul Strangler.
-
In this round, they managed to kill my Xenith Monk. Well, the battle continued then, else it would have been a game over for them

-
My soul strangler made his move again, killing their Shadow Snitch this time. My team got the lead again however this round they managed to get a revenge by killing my shadow snitch too.

- Round 4 started with 4 vs 2 condition. Things looked bad on their side, especially I had that 4 damage hit power from my Soul Strangler.

- Their Venari Bonesmith managed to survive on round 4 however this round was the last for them. Good Game

CLOSURE AND DISCUSSION
A battle of death elements, this time I would not discuss why my meta was better, but more like I would like to discuss why Death Element is superior on little league rulesets. We can take some points from this battle:
- A Combination of Thaddius Brooth + Xenith Monk would negate any magic damage from a 2 magic damage attackers. So going with full magic on little league rulesets is definitely not a smart one.
- If you don't kill Soul Strangler soon, he will keep killing your units. 4 damage per hit is too much for little league units.
- Poison is definitely dangerous, because it will take 2 health per round. Most small units have around 3 to 4 health point, so we can say indirectly that getting poisoned is the same of half death for them, no cure or chance to do anything on the next round.
Any point you would like to add here? definitely I stick with my opinion that DEATH is OP during Little League ruleset.
Ok that's all for my battle mage secret post today, thank you for reading it and I am looking forward to see you guys again on Splinterlands Battles!!!
