Hello there

Today is Friday and I am supposed to post a Fitness Friday post. However I have health issue... My left leg is hurt, so I can not exercise using any footwork. It's Gout anyway, so even I still try to make some routine exercise, but today I am not fond of making any fitness update. Let's skip that for this week.

A few last days I have been seeing some of my friends' posts which mostly are photography post on HIVE. Maybe for a refreshing, I should try do that too. However my challenge is that I do not have a phone with great camera. I had one before but its broken.

I remember I used to use an old Nikon Prosumer Camera before. So I went to find it, and luckily I found it and tested it... It's still ok, some of the physical part broken, mostly the plastic rubber part. They have became sticky and then torn easily.

Old Memories

One thing that I do not expect that there are some old image inside the camera memory. They are photos from my last project in Lhokseumawe - Aceh back then in 2017.

I worked on several projects in Sumatera Island, western part of Indonesia. What I liked there that time was the scenery... there was not any sky scrapper or big tall buildings there. So wherever you go, you can see clear sky with no annoying building or electricity line.

Not all cities were left behind, but in most place I worked... There wasn't any tall building. Even the town look so simple, there were construction cranes but no tall buildings. However those images were rom 7 years ago, I think nowadays things are looked very differently... I wonder if I will have any opportunity to visit those place again.

That white container was my office in that project. The picture was taken when we are demobilizing our project site.

And that brown one was my temporary storage. We used two container, one for office and another for storage. Between them we set up some roof for small temporary fabrication. Too bad those images aren't in the camera storage.

This image somehow brings me a sad feeling. You see that small black pickup, I bought that in 2015. I had a fight with the head office and my boss called me dumb and easily tricked by marketing sweet talk... ended up buying Mitsubishi expensive pickup.

This was the car. Its everyone for 6 years because turned out its very sturdy and very resilient. It never demanded any big maintenance. In 2019 the car fell from a 30 meters cliff, heavily damage but the driver and the passengers were survived alive without any permanent injury or cripple.

What make me sad is... that in 2022 someone broke in our workshop and stole that car. It was a sad day for all of us

The Camera

Ok, now back to the camera. My Camera is Nikon Coolpix L830. As I said before It's a Prosumer camera. Prosumer comes from PROfesional and conSUMER. So you can say this is the most entry level of Professional Camera or A consumer Camera that is above entry level. I think both sentences give you the same meaning.

The camera itself isn't expensive. I bought that on 2.1 million rupiah, and the current price is 2.3 million rupiah... It doesn't rise, its just different years mean they reproduce with different function from the cable, the storage card and many more. Oh ya I forget, in dollars its USD 150.

The reason it is cheap because prosumer only offers basic function. They are not great but in the right hand, they can produce something that a lot better than a normal cheap camera... or maybe worse because of wrong settings. Check several above images, some were badly taken because the camera itself was used by several people. So not me who taking those picture.

Anyway what do you think about this camera, should I try making some photo posts with this? Maybe I should ask my friend @ekavieka too, trying to get some recommendation for this one.

Thank you for visiting my post and have a nice day
