Hello Everyone, Welcome again to my Weekly Splinterlands Post.

My last post was about my Brawl Performance, and in this opportunity I want to share small tip about joining a tournament. So by saying this you can guess that this post is more addressed to new players, or beginner, because some of them might not even know about Tournaments.

And if you are not beginner, I hope my post could remind you on joining the tournament again, because we need more players there. Many people forget to join Tournaments, because they are too busy drilling the rank battles. Many have forgot that Tournaments is the place that many SPS rewards is allocated at.

Where Do We Find Tournaments?"

You can find the tournaments section on the top left one, just click play and you will see Tournaments there.

I know the current interface is a lot simplified, and that made old players like me sometime confused because we are used to with the old interface.

What Tournaments Should We Join?"

There are plenty of tournaments available after you click tournaments on the top left. For beginner I will suggest you to get the Anytime Types first. This is the most casual one, you don't have to sit in front of your screen during specific times.

Anytime type will allow you 24 hours time windows to put your lineup on each battle

And on the right side you will see ENTER button, I give a green arrow below to show you that for each Tournaments that you are eligible to participate, the button will turn to be clickable. Tournaments that you can not enter, the button will become white unclickaable.

Overall the best start for you is to find tournaments that you are eligible to play in. It means you do not need much preparation than tournaments you are not eligible.

I would not tell you all the detail here because I believe learning by doing is something that important in playing games. So I will only share you the outline here, and hopefully you won't take much time to try it out yourself.

A Glance About Tournament Window

Ok now the main part, how to quick view on a tournament. I will make it quick and easy so you can dig deeper yourself for better understanding.

1. WILD AND MODERN EVENT

Basically tournaments in general are divided into WILD EVENT (wild format cards) and MODERN EVENT (modern format card). WILD EVENT will cost you more and most OG are playing in this tournament.

You need to be more careful in checking the Sets that are allowed. Even it is Modern or Wild, not all sets that are always available. Sometime you will see Rebellion sets only for modern, or alpha beta only for Wild. Pay more attention on this one.

2. REWARDS AND PARTICIPANTS.

Don't jump in early in happiness seeing the number of players entering is a less than the number of rewards given. Sometime people just flood in within the last minutes. You don't need to win many, sometime a few wins would put you in rewards zone.

Same as that, Do not get lured easily on high prize tournaments, because the higher the rewards, you must expect the more difficulty you will face. People will get more serious, they come with more preparation.

So pick a tournament that the prize and participation are not quite too attractive for bigger and experience players.

MY LAST TIP FOR BEGINNER

Expect to lose badly on the first time. Do not set your expectation too high, but believe in yourself that the second time you will perform better. Go Try Tournament and Have Fun with your battles!!! Have Fun First, Earning Will Follow!!
