Hello and good day everyone
Welcome to my weekly Splinterlands post, everyweek during weekend I make my splinterlands post here on HIVE. I like this game very much, I think Splinterlands even without the Play to Earn thing, it can be considered a good Trading Card Game.
This week I am not feeling well, so I won't make a long post here. I will share a battle that most people forget during a equal opportunity ruleset. It is a trample ability.
Since the developer released many Good Units with bloodlust ability, people focus shifted to that ability and exploited that during the equal opportunity ruleset. Well it is not wrong afterall, it is the most dangerous ability of all. However in the past, when bloodlust was not free to use, only Gladiators who had it, what did we do?
We went with piercing, double strike, and trample. Yes Trample, that's the forgotten meta from the past... and today in this short post I will share that trample art again.

I have this Desert Dragon for this case. The problem of this card is that he is slow and he is easily killed. I think no unit is perfect, even Desert Dragon is not that sturdy, I believe there are cases where he could be excel and this time let me show you how he can be excel in Equal Opportunity ruleset.
HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE
I pick this battle, because the ruleset is good for desert dragon. However this time I am not showcasing how strong a desert dragon is, but more likely what happen if you think trample is not good in equal opportunity ruleset.

Silenced summoner, it means all summoners will be the same. This is the case where you can only rely on the cards. So the most powerful should be Dragons, because you have more selection of the cards.
But let me show you how I set up my line up.

So follow the red line... I have the biggest Health point in front and the units follow the order perfectly. the most on far behind has the lowest health. Why do I make this line up? because I do not wish seeing an opponent "trampling" my team. When they kill, they kill the back and no other target to be trampled.

Meanwhile I do not know what they have in their mind, but they give me 2 trampling target. Cruel Sentropod and Uraeus. If My desert Dragon kill them, it will activate the trampling ability which mean the dragon will deliver extra attacks.
Ok that's for the theory, let see how this work..

-
This was a funny battle, because we had 0 buff and 0 debuff. All were focused basic mechanic, who hit harder, who had higher health, who moved faster
-
They had 17 melee damage per round, it was a great fire power.
-
my team had 17 melee damage per round too. We were equal here.
-
The difference was they were faster but my team had better health point average. So it's like speed vs counter here.

As expected, my desert dragon killed Uraeus and activated his Trample ability. Too bad the pelacor bandit dodged that extra attack.

-
In a glance, we still on equal ground here. 4 vs 4. But remember, I had trample right?

-
My desert dragon killed that cruel sentropod and he had activated the trample ability again.

- now it did not look equal anymore. 2 vs 5 and I had 3 units on max condition.

- this time my desert dragon killed the Kulu Mastermind then activated trample ability again.
- everything ended on this round. Good Game
Closure
What do you think about this trample ability, I believe it is still cool despite many people have left this meta. This battle proves that Desert Dragon or any unit with trample, including Diemonshark, still can be considered a major threat in equal opportunity rulset.
And eventhough you might not use the trample ability during this ruleset, always to consider if your opponent might come with this trample meta by adjusting your line up properly against it.
That's all what I want to share here, I hope it could spark some good idea for you with some trample units and feel free to drop your comment below.
and as always... have fun in Splinterlands Battles!!
