Welcome in this guest post I will be talking about some of the inner workings of the DUO team that some of you may not know, either way I think it is a good way to share some of what has happened and why things are the way they are as well as where they could be headed.
If you have a looks at the DUO rich list you will notice that outside of the DUO account I come in 3rd and the rest of the team is pretty high up on there, you may think this has to do with us being the creators and just giving ourselves high DUO stakes but that is not the case.
Since the inception of DUO the team has gotten little to no profit from the project, most of the DUO we personally have was purchased on the open market in the same manner as any other hive user.
All members of the team agreed to only stake 700 DUO even though we have more liquid DUO available, this helps us keeps track of the divs while also not digging too much into other DUO stakers payouts.
The team agreed to take a cut on their curation giving us 50% of what our vote should have been for our 700 DUO stake but for months now we have not even taken that to help give more back to DUO stakers.
The team has not sold any of their DUO for personal gain and have agreed to not do so until we are finished with the tranches and even then we will always be selling responsibly.
The team initially allocated 1.5 million DUO tokens to ourselves for the management of the project, But not too long after launching the project we forfeited 0.5 million DUO of our share for promotional efforts.
We also agreed to unlock the remaining 1 million over time based of the performance( earnings of DUO curation/Authorship), but like mentioned above we have all agreed to not sell any of our DUO until after the tranches are sold out.
Most of this can be crossed referenced on the blockchain, The team is dedicated to the vision behind DUO and we keep putting out money were our mouth is, the team continues to buy DUO on the open market, I actually have an open order so if you don't want that DUO anymore I will take it. range 11-21
Some of you got in really early and will reap the most benefits but it is still relatively early we are going to keep the steady growth, and we are looking forward to using some of our HP to help new users just like we intended, lets grow this chain together !
