Hive Future
I been looking at Hive lately and thinking about where this whole thing actually goes because we have been stuck in this weird limbo for what feels like a decade eh. Honestly it feels like we got two ways this can play out and neither one is gonna be some magical moon mission without some serious pain first.
Path one is the status quo where we just keep being this weird little insular pocket of the internet where everyone knows everyone and we just pass the same twenty bucks around forever. It is comfortable I guess but it is also how projects die a slow death by irrelevance while the rest of the world moves on to the next shiny object. We got the tech and the nodes are solid but if we do not find a way to make this usable for people who do not care about decentralization or governance then we are just building a very expensive clubhouse for ourselves.
The second path is actually leaning into the utility side and forgetting the social media obsession for a second. We need to be the backend for stuff that actually functions without needing a manual to onboard. I am talking about apps where the user does not even know they are on a blockchain because they just want the service to work. If we can get some real world value flowing through the pipes instead of just circular voting then maybe we have a shot at staying relevant. But that takes work and most people here are too busy arguing over reward pools to build something that a normal person would actually use. I am staying stacked on my physical assets anyway because betting everything on one digital path is a bad move and I rather have my server rack humming in the room than bank it all on a coin flip.
What do you think folks are we actually gonna build or just talk about it until the lights go out.
