Greetings, everyone! Today, in this crazy life I lead, I want to express my gratitude, and what better way to start than through these texts.
Being grateful is like a duty. No matter what, we must be grateful, not because some saint obliges us to be, but because we owe it to life itself, which is why we are still here fighting the good fight.
Here in Venezuela, where the sun burns even your thoughts and life is as tight as a submarine screw, you learn that gratitude is what lightens and eases many burdens.
In this land of grace and misfortune, life becomes as dark as a bat cave, and yet we learn to value even the shade of a tree in the middle of the day. We know that being grateful is not simply saying thank you, much less doing so out of obligation. It is feeling it in our bones, realizing that even if the water doesn't come or the lights go out, we continue to breathe and keep going. We learn resilience and to get back up even when we are kicked down to hell.

Speaking of water, here are some photos I am sharing of my trip to fetch drinking water with my inseparable pet, Chama.
She is the most loyal and fun pet you can imagine, a dog who radiates so much charisma and joy that I cannot explain or express it in words.
- I come to this place every day to get water because the water that comes out of the tap is too dirty to drink. I've talked about this many times before.
However, as a Venezuelan, I know the joy we share despite so many difficulties. We know that laughter that breaks the silence of a night without light, that hand that is given to you without asking for anything in return, and that is where we realize that we are not lost.
And that is how we live, eliminating the buts and excuses.
