Finding Joy at 45: The Dawn of a New Beginning
Birthdays only come once a year and should be celebrated but not everyone has the opportunity to do so and I am one of those people. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, not even with a wooden spoon and I didn’t grow up in a family where everything was always perfect, so celebrating a birthday seems like a luxury I can’t afford.
As someone who was orphaned at an early stage in life I often found myself alone in a situation where I had to do odd jobs to survive and to cater to my education. At home I usually had to do menial jobs like working on farms for people. I never knew what it was like to be invited to family gatherings let alone celebrate a birthday.
I have never received a birthday gift in my life and I often forget my birthday. But I think I deserve a treat this time around. Reaching 45 is something big so I am bringing my birthday celebration to my DUO community friends, a community where I have found joy and happiness among kind people. I hope you will celebrate with me and don’t forget the gifts.
Today is the birth of a kind and wonderful person. So get ready to celebrate with me my friend and bring a gift to congratulate me. A new beginning is here, and so is my resolve to keep moving forward together with the community. It's such a beautiful day to share with you all. So, let the birds sings for me, let the sun shine for, it's a beautiful thing to be alive.
It’s a day unlike any other in my life, a day that heralds a new beginning and I’m glad to start it here. Another year has arrived in my life and I’m thankful for the past years and excited for the future; I’m hoping for a lot of exciting moments on this day. And sharing this moment with you in the community feels so amazing. I would love to hear from you, and you know what? Just that mere happy birthday wish from you would make my day more special.
What can I silently wish for myself today?
I expect to achieve more and greater things this year. I need to be a better person and more efficient. I need to do more this year; I badly want to. These past few months that I have been in the DUO community have changed my life, giving me the opportunity to meet with wonderful and great people who opened doors and opportunities for learning for me. I need to build on those opportunities to advance my life this year.
This new year of my life would see me focus on personal growth, empowerment, and learning new skills that could be helpful to dealing with any challenges that might come my way. And having you here would make this new phase of my life special.
Life can throw surprises our way when we least expect it, so I can only hope and pray for good health and the opportunity to chase my dreams. Health is wealth and I hope to make my health a top priority. This is very important considering the many things I have to juggle to achieve my goals this year.
I am strong today and I am very excited about it. Success gravitates to those who prepared for it and I am more than ready to aim for success in the next chapter of my life. I am thankful to God for bringing me this far and for making me who I am today. All glory and honor be unto God.
