After the effort of gathering more than 200.000 Merits, now comes the fun part: the Opening of 101 Gladius Cases and seeing how much luck I had today. The hard part of holding back the urge to spend the merits in the guild shop is finally behind us. After seasons of playing Brawls non-stop, saving the Merits from Chests, and cleaning my inventory by burning those duplicate cards that were just gathering dust, I reached the exact figure of 203.794 Méritos to buy a total of 101 Gladius packs in one single shot.

La parte difícil de aguantarse las ganas de gastar los méritos en la tienda del gremio ya quedó atrás. Tras temporadas de jugar Brawls sin parar, guardar los Merits de los Chests y de limpiar mi inventario quemando esas tarjetas repetidas que solo acumulaban polvo, alcancé la cifra exacta de 203.794 Méritos para comprar un total de 101 paquetes Gladius de un solo golpe.
Opening more than a hundred cases at once is a great experience, not only because of the adrenaline of seeing what you get, but because with so many packs, luck balances out and you can put together a great loot. And this is how my luck went in this Opening:

Honestly, I did wonderfully! In Splinterlands, when you open these packs you cannot use potions to increase the chances of getting rare or legendary cards, so you depend on the pure luck of the game. Getting 8 legendaries and 19 epics in just over a hundred cases is way above the usual average. It is a tremendous boost for my collection, allowing me to level up 2 Legendary cards, even taking one to its maximum level, and likewise with Common and Rare cards.
Sinceramente, ¡me fue de maravilla! Let's talk a bit about the 10 Gold Foil cards I pulled; they might not be from the highest rarities, but getting gold cards from the Gladiator edition is always a huge relief. Beyond the level boost for my favorite gladiators, the most important thing about all this golden loot is that they represent a tremendous handful of potential Merits. In Splinterlands, all these extra copies that I do not use to maximize my main collection go straight to the bonfire to be burned.
Hablemos un poco de las 10 cartas Gold Foil que me salieron, que no son de las rarezas más altas, pero conseguir cartas doradas de la edición Gladiator siempre es un alivio enorme. Más allá del subidón de nivel para mis gladiadores favoritos, lo más importante de todo este botín de cartas doradas es que representan un tremendo puñado de Merits en potencia. En Splinterlands, todas estas copias extras que no use para maximizar mi colección principal van directo a la hoguera para ser quemadas.
And what does that mean? That this opening is not the end of the road, but the perfect fuel for what is to come. With the Merits I am going to recover by clearing out the surplus cards from this chest, I already have the foundation to set the savings machinery in motion once again. The goal from today is clear: start accumulating from scratch with my sights set on repeating the feat and putting together another opening this big in the future. The wheel does not stop!
¿Y qué significa eso? Que este opening no es el final del camino, sino el combustible perfecto para lo que viene. Con los Méritos que voy a recuperar al limpiar las cartas sobrantes de este cofre, ya tengo la base para poner en marcha la maquinaria de ahorro otra vez. La meta desde hoy es clara: empezar a acumular desde cero con la mira puesta en repetir la hazaña y armar otro opening así de grande en el futuro. ¡La rueda no se detiene!
Conclusion
The wait and the savings over these months were totally worth it. The loot exceeded my expectations, and now I have the fun task of sitting down to level up the cards and test them in my next battles, as well as counting the copies of cards that are at maximum levels to add them to the list of cards to burn for Merits, which I will keep unused for those battles in Survival to fill up teams—especially this season where I am in Bracket I, where those Level 1 cards are very useful in battles with Are You Not Entertained?.
Valió totalmente la pena la espera y el ahorro de estos meses. El botín superó mis expectativas y ahora me toca la tarea divertida de sentarme a subir de nivel las tarjetas y probarlas en mis próximas batallas, además de contabilizar las copias de tarjetas que están en niveles máximos para unirlas a la lista de tarjetas a quemar por Merits, que mantendré sin usar para esas batallas en Survival para rellenar los equipos, en especial esta temporada donde estoy en el Bracket I donde esas tarjetas Nivel 1 son muy útiles en batallas con Are You Not Entertained?.
