Today I want to share with you an ornament that, besides beautiful, is very useful, as it allows us to bring some more organization in our lives. I'm referring to a kitchen towel holder or a kitchen towel holder umbrella to be more precise. Although thinking about it, it would be something like an object holder, because the cloth holders usually have a ring at the bottom, but I modified the design a bit because the handkerchiefs I have at home have a fabric hook in the center.
The design is inspired by a blue umbrella that, as fate would have it, ended up becoming the home of some flowers and now spends its days hanging full of sunflowers of different sizes. As if that weren't enough, it should also hold the weight of my kitchen towels or anything else I can think of hanging there, as the hook at the bottom is very strong.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un adorno que, además de hermoso, es muy útil, ya que nos permite aportar algo más de organización en nuestras vidas. Me refiero a un porta paños de cocina o a una sombrilla porta paños de cocina para ser más exactos. Aunque pensándolo bien, vendría siendo algo así como un portaobjetos, pues los porta paños normalmente traen un aro en la parte inferior, pero yo modifiqué un poco el diseño porque los pañuelos que tengo en casa poseen un enganche de tela en el centro.
El diseño está inspirado en una sombrilla azul que, por cosas del destino, terminó convertida en el hogar de unas flores y ahora pasa sus días colgada repleta de girasoles de distintos tamaños. Por si fuera poco, también debe aguantar el peso de los paños de mi cocina o cualquier cosa que se me ocurra colgar ahí, pues el gancho de la parte inferior es bien resistente.

1️⃣ To begin, cut out 3 light blue fomi squares with sides measuring 14 cm. Fold each of the squares diagonally to form a cone and cut off the top edge of the cone. Then glue the three cones side by side.

2️⃣ Take the wire and cut a segment about 35 cm long. Wrap the wire with 0.5 cm strips of dark blue fomi. Repair the umbrella handle area to make it thicker. Insert the wire inside the blue cones to make it more exact inside the middle cone and glue it so that it is as symmetrical as possible.
Toma el alambre y corta un segmento de unos 35 cm de largo. Envuelve el alambre con tiras de fomi azul oscuro de 0,5 cm. Repara el área del mango de la sombrilla para que quede más grueso. 3️⃣ Wrap strips of dark blue fomi around the tip of the umbrella and, like the end, go over it more than once to make it thicker. Twist the tip of the umbrella to form a hook. Using a hole punch or scissors, cut out several small flowers from the white fomi and glue them all around the edge of the umbrella, with the extra ones scattered around the space underneath.

4️⃣ On a yellow fomi sheet, mark and cut out 6 large and 4 medium circles. To each of the circles, mark and cut out a pattern of 8 pointed petals. Join the layers of petals in pairs of equal size and use a heat source to bend the tips of the petals of one of the elements in each pair, leaving one bent and the other straight. Glue the elements of each pair so that the pointed petals do not overlap.
En una hoja de fomi amarillo, marca y recorta 6 círculos grandes y 4 medianos. A cada uno de los círculos, márcales y recórtales un patrón de 8 pétalos puntiagudos. 5️⃣ Cut out 5 circles of carmelite fomi, obtaining 3 large and 2 medium ones. Heat the circles on a griddle to give them a hemispherical shape. Glue the hemispheres inside each flower, according to their size, and using a black marker, draw small dots on top.
Attach each flower to a stem made with thinner wire and wrapped in floral tape. Next, glue the 3 large flowers inside the three cones that make up the umbrella and then glue the two small flowers inside the 3 large ones.
Recorta 5 círculos de fomi carmelita, obteniendo 3 grandes y 2 medianos. Calienta los círculos en una plancha para darles una forma semiesférica. Pega las semiesferas en el interior de cada flor, según su tamaño, y utilizando un marcador negro, dibuja pequeños puntos encima.

6️⃣ Finally, mark and cut out the leaves that you will use to give volume to the upper garden of the umbrella. Each flower has 2 leaves, so you should make 10 in total, 6 large and 4 small. After placing the leaves, use tweezers or your hands to arrange the flower stems and their height.
Para finalizar, marca y recorta las hojas que utilizarás para dar volumen al jardín superior de la sombrilla. Cada flor lleva 2 hojas, así que debes hacer 10 en total, 6 grandes y 4 pequeñas. Luego de colocar las hojas, utiliza unas pinzas o las manos para acomodar los tallos de las flores y su altura.
