My friend and developer @shiftrox recently launched a new game on Hive called Hive Grove, and it immediately reminded me of the old Plants vs. Undead (PVU). The concept is incredibly simple: a clicker game with no complicated mechanics, where anyone can start playing completely free.

Every new player receives a free tree without investing anything. All you have to do is water it once a day to earn rewards paid directly in liquid Hive, which I consider one of the game's biggest strengths.

What caught my attention the most is its economic model. Unlike most play-to-earn games, Hive Grove doesn't use NFTs or its own governance token.

In my opinion, this solves one of the biggest issues faced by NFT games. When games rely on NFTs and proprietary tokens, developers often keep minting new assets, increasing the supply and creating inflation within the game's economy. On top of that, many players join purely for speculation, buying and selling NFTs, which can lead to sharp price swings and make the game's economy unsustainable.

Hive Grove takes a completely different approach. Rewards are paid directly in Hive, an established cryptocurrency within the ecosystem that I strongly believe has significant upside potential during the next crypto bull market.

After trying the game for a while, I decided to purchase a Cherry Blossom tree for 10 Hive. It currently rewards 0.35 Hive every time I water it.

It may not sound like much at first, but since the tree can be watered every day, the estimated Return on Investment (ROI) is around 28 days, assuming the reward rate remains the same. As your collection grows, so does your daily income.

At the moment, my collection consists of the free starter tree and the Cherry Blossom.

The in-game marketplace offers trees at different prices, allowing every player to expand their forest at their own pace.

Another feature I really enjoy is the social aspect of the game. Besides taking care of your own trees, you can also help other players by watering theirs. After helping someone, you can even leave them a message, encouraging interaction and strengthening the Hive community.

The game is also under active development, with frequent updates from our friend @shiftrox, showing that the project continues to evolve.

I hope the game continues to receive exciting new features. It would be interesting to see more strategic and competitive gameplay between players. One fun idea would be the ability to raid trees that have been left unwatered for too long and steal part of their accumulated rewards, creating a mechanic similar to games like Coin Master. Of course, this would need to be carefully balanced to keep the economy healthy, but I think it would make the gameplay even more engaging.

Overall, I'm really enjoying Hive Grove. It's a simple, fast-paced, social game that rewards players directly with Hive, without relying on NFTs or inflationary tokens. I'm looking forward to seeing how the project evolves and what new features the future brings.

Meu amigo e desenvolvedor @shiftrox criou um novo jogo para a Hive chamado Hive Grove, e logo de cara ele me lembrou bastante o antigo Plants vs Undead (PVU). A proposta é bem simples: um jogo baseado em cliques, sem mecânicas complicadas, onde qualquer pessoa pode começar gratuitamente.

O jogador recebe uma árvore inicial sem precisar investir nada. Basta regá-la diariamente para receber recompensas em Hive líquido, algo que considero um grande diferencial.

O que mais chamou minha atenção é justamente o modelo econômico do projeto. Diferentemente da maioria dos jogos play-to-earn, Hive Grove não utiliza NFTs nem possui um token próprio.

Na minha opinião, esse é um dos maiores problemas enfrentados pelos jogos NFT. Quando existem NFTs e tokens exclusivos, normalmente há uma emissão constante de novos ativos, o que acaba aumentando a oferta e gerando inflação dentro da economia do jogo. Além disso, muitos jogadores entram apenas para especular, comprando e vendendo NFTs, o que pode provocar grandes oscilações de preço e prejudicar a sustentabilidade do projeto.

O Hive Grove segue um caminho diferente. As recompensas são pagas diretamente em Hive, uma moeda consolidada dentro do ecossistema e na qual tenho bastante confiança, principalmente pensando em um futuro mercado de alta (bull market).

Depois de experimentar o jogo, resolvi comprar uma Cherry Blossom, que custou 10 Hive. Ela gera 0.35 Hive a cada rega.

Pode parecer pouco à primeira vista, mas, considerando que a árvore pode ser regada diariamente, o retorno do investimento (ROI) acontece em aproximadamente 28 dias, caso as recompensas permaneçam nesse valor. Conforme o jogador amplia sua coleção de árvores, a renda diária também aumenta.

No mercado do jogo existem árvores de diversos tipos e faixas de preço, permitindo que cada jogador evolua no seu próprio ritmo.

Outro aspecto que achei bastante interessante é o lado social do jogo. Além de cuidar das suas próprias árvores, você pode ajudar outros jogadores regando as árvores deles. Depois da ajuda, ainda é possível deixar uma mensagem, incentivando a interação entre a comunidade.

O jogo também está em constante desenvolvimento, com atualizações frequentes feitas pelo nosso amigo @shiftrox, o que demonstra que o projeto continua evoluindo.

Espero que o jogo continue recebendo novas funcionalidades. Seria interessante adicionar mais elementos estratégicos e competitivos entre os jogadores. Uma ideia divertida seria a possibilidade de atacar árvores que ficaram sem ser regadas por muito tempo e roubar parte das recompensas acumuladas, criando uma dinâmica semelhante à de jogos como Coin Master. Claro, isso precisaria ser bem balanceado para manter a economia saudável, mas certamente deixaria a experiência ainda mais envolvente.

No geral, estou gostando bastante da proposta do Hive Grove. É um jogo simples, rápido, social e que recompensa diretamente em Hive, sem depender de NFTs ou tokens inflacionários. Estou curioso para acompanhar sua evolução e ver quais novidades ainda estão por vir.
