I feel this is one ability that almost everybody has thought of at least once in their lives. It’s really going to be fun being able to walk past people and not being seen. It’s almost impossible not to do some quite funny things within this period of invisibility.
I am quite a curious person by nature. The first thing I’ll probably do is to go to places that are out of bounds for people to enter. Now, I don’t mean places like secret clubs where you need a pass to enter. I am talking about places like Television stations. I would love to see the behind the scenes operations, what their studio is like, how they prepare before a news cast, the flops they make and the flaws because on screen they make everything look perfect.
I would also love to go into all these big eateries and restaurants to see how they prepare their foods in the kitchens which they serve customers. Maybe I would also check out large offices of big companies when the doors are closed, maybe just for the purpose of seeing how big people behave when one is watching them; are they always on good behaviours or are there times they mess around, these are things I would like to see.
But then, what is the fun of having such ability without being able to have real fun. After all, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” they say. I am like to carry out a few pranks like going to people’s ears and whispering their names and laugh at their frightened reactions. But the idea would be just have fun and not scare them death.
Most importantly, I wouldn’t want to end the 24 hours without doing some actual good with it. This would be a very good time to help people on a low key, anonymously. I’ll go to places like for markets or the groceries store and extend a hand of help to people who are struggling to pay for food by leaving some cash in their bags, or putting it in their palms. Help out elderly people by relieving of the stress of lifting up heavy stuffs. My biggest satisfaction would be seeing smiles on their faces, they do not have to see who did it or say thank you, as long as they are happy, I am.
The last thing I would want to do with this rare opportunity is to abuse it; such as using it to invade people’s privacy, or use it to hurt people in any way. If I had a day where I could be invisible then it would be wise to make every single hour of it count, and not do anything that would make me regret later on.
