Day in, day out, people are on the chase for different things: money, happiness, health, peace, and so on.

They pursue these things with everything they have as though it is everything to them but as soon as they lay hold on these things, instead of feeling satisfied or fulfilled, they either begin desiring for more or begin chasing something else.

It has happened to me several times. I wanted something so badly, I did everything within my capacity to get it, but when it finally became my possession, the joy that came with it gradually fizzled out until it was no longer special to me.

Each of us can not deny the fact that there is a vacuum in our hearts that longs for something we can not explain to fill it.

Sometimes we pursue material things and get excited for a moment, temporarily filling the space but with time, the feeling peters out and it's back to feeling incomplete again.

The question now is, what exactly can bring a lasting feeling of fulfillment? People chase money, only to finally become rich then come out and tell the world that “money isn't everything.”

Some people are blessed with everything, good health, a happy home, riches and glory yet, they say “everything is vanity.”

Some are philanthropists, reaching out to the less privileged and doing good to whosoever they can yet, something still feels missing.

We chase our dreams, and after actualizing them, it feels like something is still missing.

Does this mean that fulfillment in life is a scam? Well, I don't think so, as much as It is a fact that there is no end chasing things in life, the feeling of fulfillment is legitimate.

One can perpetually feel fulfilled in life; It's very possible to get to a point where one can say I am fulfilled, although it doesn't mean that that is the end to the pursuits of life.

If it's about reaching the peak of any area of life, that's not achievable because there is no limit to things in life; one can only explore to their own limits.

So, how can one feel fulfilled? The simple answer for me is by positioning your mind to feel that way. Of the truth, whichever level we reach in life is a big achievement, it ought to be celebrated.

Is it not wrong to place honor and massive recognition to it. Even though you will chase other things, it's bad to make it look like you did nothing at all.

Feel fulfilled, be proud of yourself for each level you reach in life but don't make the mistake of remaining permanently in that spot, strive for higher levels and when you get there, celebrate and remember your accomplishments, it's not easy.

In conclusion, we can not feel fulfilled permanently because whatever we are after or pursuing has no end but we can celebrate the little wins we have achieved.
