It is very easy to earn money, but it is very difficult to keep it or use it for something with future advantages.

Our world is controlled by money. Literally everything requires money, and sadly, a majority of people live from hand to mouth.

They work, they earn, and spend it all on needs, sometimes even lacking extra to keep for themselves or for emergencies.

Many people desire to do profitable things with their earnings, but demands and a lack of adequate education on finance have rendered them helpless.

I don't know if it's my mindset or something, but I believe that one can make something out of anything.

It does not matter how little what you have is; the most important thing is to have something. When you do, you can bring something out of it.

Doing reasonable things with money is not just for those who earn much; it's for everyone. Unfortunately, many people don't see it this way. They think that before you do something reasonable with money, you must have much.

Which is not entirely wrong; having much gives one so much advantage, but it doesn't mean little can't do anything too.

The only disadvantage, or should I say difference, is the fact that little takes long; it takes time to bring something out of little, but certainly, something will come out.

Talking about the best financial decisions, over the years, there are several of them that I was able to make, although it doesn't negate the fact that I have also made wrong ones, which I am still regretting at the moment.

However, one of the best financial decisions I have made so far, and it has been so beneficial, is spending strictly on a budget.

There was a time in my life when I could buy just anything my eyes caught, pay any bill that came my way, and I was draining financially.

Money was going out more than it was coming in, and unfortunately, it was not on things that had the potency of giving me back what I had spent.

I would have a certain amount of money that I intended to spend for a certain period of time, but within a day or two, everything would be gone, and sometimes, I would even be stranded.

It was such a painful experience; I mean, with this current economy that I am trying to survive, I am spending money I could not make within a short period of time.

But everything changed when I began to spend based on a plan. I don't care how pressing a matter is; if it's not something that will cost life, as long as I didn't plan to get it within a certain period of time, even if millions are lying in my possession, I don't dare attend to that demand.

Most people noticed this change and called me different names; stingy, strict, and the like, but I am bent on sticking to that rule.

I know what it means to go out of money, and I am not ready for such. No one would come through for you. You just need to devise ways to survive and to stay solvent.

I take things one step at a time; I go with what my strength can carry and hold on until I recover before heading for the next.

There was a time when someone asked me for a small amount of money, and to be frank, I had already used up what I planned to spend for the week. I told him I didn't have any money.

The person was offended, but all I had to say was “sorry.” The following week, I included him in my budget.

I called him and gave him the money, he was like, I don't have money to pay back, I told him it was a gift, and he was surprised.

A lot of people think people are mean when they refuse to come through for them, but not everyone is like that; some people are only trying to be careful so that they don't end up becoming the ones needing help after they have helped others.

How has this decision helped me? It is very easy for me to track my expenses now. I barely spend what I can not afford.

It's been a while since I was hurt for using money I was not supposed to on something I was not ready for, unless it is an emergency.

I can now save money and know exactly what I am doing with it. It is just like nothing happens with my finances with my knowledge. I have become financially responsible.
