Hello everyone in @afritunes community, happy new week. It is great once again to participate in this #afri-inleo initiative and kudos to the following people for this great initiative; @ksam @obaro @starstrings @ovey10. Through this initiative, various topics are discussed and lessons learned. For this initiative, i will be sharing on one thing that can replace music for in a world without music and that is reaching out to different set of people through a health outreach.

Music has been a part of me right from my childhood and is my favourite of which i take delights in. Music has been part of humanity even right from inception and a world without music is unimaginable due to the great impact of music on all endeavors of human. Personally, one thing that can replace music for me in a world without music is organising, participating and supporting health outreach most especially to the students, the less privileged, the rural areas and the poor. This is inline with an aspect of music as related to therapy and also, the excitement/entertaining part of music helps in the general wellbeing of the body. This health outreach also includes awareness/programs to schools, organisations and on air i.e. radio, television and online avenues.
One of the major way of living an impactful life is to reachout to others and impact positively to them. Good healthcare is one of the basic needs which we need as humans but yet the coverage especially in the rural areas is yet to be even and also, due to hike in prices of drugs, mass exodus of health workers in search if green pastures, lack of enlightenment/awareness which still makes some diseases to be recurrent or still ravaging and because the government alone can't do it all, this will always be a welcomed development.

I have been engaged in various rural health outreach right from an undergraduate days in the University as a healthcare professional student (Pharmacy) and have been privileged to organized and attend many. In addition, i have also lead a team that reached out to secondary school students creating awareness on the need for a good quality healthcare and creating a professional awareness. In addition, in this year 2024, i was part of the healthcare professionals who embarked on a rural health outreach to a rural community in my state of practice in Nigeria with positive feedbacks gotten afterwards.
As music is a delight to me, so also helping people through my service as a healthcare professional especially to the set of people who are not able to afford such. In a world without music, this is one thing I'm currently involved in which can replace music for me. The reason for this my choice is because of the similarities between them which includes:
โข the happiness both brings as music is exciting through its melodious sound and health outreach brings happiness to those it reached.
โข the enlightenment/informative/educative power of music and the awareness/enlightenment health outreach brings aswell.
โข the love, peace and unity music impacts and the same for health outreach as it takes love to be committed or to commit resources for such course.

Therefore, organising, participating and supporting a health outreach is one thing that can replace music for me in a world without music because of the similarities and impacts both brings to humanity. Thank you for reading as comments and contributions are welcomed.
