There are many promises that we make, but we fail to fulfill them, like making a budget, investing our extra money when we start earning extra, reducing expenses, and starting to save. Financial planning is the most difficult planning, and most of the time, we push it and delay it. Financial planning is a scary and complicated thing, and sometimes we think, why in a hurry? It's not urgent, and we will do it later. But remember, if you want to control your finances, then you should not wait for the good steps but quickly apply them.

Why do humans often Procrastinate?

There are multiple fears that are the reason behind the procrastination, for example, fear of debts, Fear of not having knowledge in the financial planning, and fear of wrong decisions. Overwhelm is another common reason. And do you know financial words are heavy, such as Retirement planning, budget, and investment, because they sound scary, and that is why humans always try to avoid them. But humans should understand that avoiding such things will make the problem bigger instead of solving it.

You should Start Small, Start Today

Well, first you have to stop being scared, and also do not need to procrastinate and think that it is not necessary to do everything today, instead start with small steps. Just one small step is enough for the start, and you can do it slow and steady way. You can start small weekly saving even it is $5 but atleast start, setting goals for the future like investment and saving goals, you have to kow what you are earning and what you are spending just write it, emergency fund and saving account are the good options too and this way you can start your first step.

Do not wait for the best time for investment or saving or any financial thing, but just start immediately because tomorrow will never come for you.

Make Financial Plans a Habit, Not a Burden

No, my friend, financial planning is not a burden or punishment, and it should be enjoyable. It can be fun if it is low-pressure and regular. If you do not want to dig deep down into it, just give 15 minutes a week and just review your expenses, and if you do not want to do it, then there should be one fixed day in a month that can be celebrated as a money day or financial day.

Conclusion

Now, if you have procrastination, then do not worry because it is normal for every human, and instead of worrying about it, just work to stop it. Give a small time and take small steps because these things are not very important, but the important thing is consistency. These steps are taken now, then in the future you will thank yourself. So that's what I want to share today in this post. Agree with my points or not? Let me know in the comments section. Follow me on Hive for the finance, technology, and crypto updates.
