Hello guys, happy Monday to all, and my name is Faiz. Welcome you with my heart ♥ , and this is the start of the week, and I hope you will have a better week this time. Today, I’m going to talk about the gaming industry and non-fungible tokens. How can we forget that Splinterlands started this trend? Some people claim that Axie Infinity is the first game that started the NFT plus gaming trend; however, the reality is that Splinterlands is the first-ever NFT game on Hive blockchain and in the whole crypto industry. You know, NFT was trending at that time for the art &collectibles, but it had gone one level advance by introducing it in the game.

Blockchain stores NFTs, it is special digital assets. And in the game, players can own the NFT. For example, in the sprinterlands, you can own a card that has specialties like mana, attack, health, and speed. These digital assets, called NFTs (non-fungible tokens), are tradable on the market and also are verifiable and irreplaceable. One NFT is unique in itself, and no one can copy it; no one can own it. In traditional gaming, every item is locked there, but NFTs are unique. The price of those particular NFTs can fluctuate, too, so you have the potential to earn more than traditional gaming items.

So whatever you are earning in NFT in any kind of game, that particular earning is in NFT, which means if you are getting something as an NFT, then that is not just an image, but it is a digital asset. That’s why NFTs in gaming are totally unique and different. In Splinterlands, you can see that you can trade those NFTs as well as you can also you can give them on rent, so this is possible because of the non-fungible token technology, and yes, especially in blockchain technology. This particular thing engages players, it is making the game more exciting, and more games are based on NFTs, such as Moonkarts, Genesis League Sports, and more.

NFT carries a personalization and a unique story in itself. A great example of it is the lore of Spinterlands cards; you can see the unique story of every single character in the Splinterlands. Every single character has a different story and different stats as well. Also, some abilities make every card different and unique from each other, which is why you can see the big pricing difference in those NFTs. Listen, if you are an early adopter of any game, and you buy the NFTs, then you have a benefit because these NFTS are limited in supply, so in the future the price can spike. It depends on the stats of the particular card and the uniqueness of that NFT.

Here, the developer plays a big role because they have to balance all the things; otherwise, the NFT price may drop in the future, so they have to balance all the things so that whenever they make other NFTs, they make them unique from the old NFTs. So that’s how NFT in gaming works, and if you want to learn this, then there are games in Hive, so go there and learn the NFT and Hive. I hope you like this article. Do not forget to share it. I am winding up this article now and meeting you in my next blog with a great topic. Faiz is signing off....
