The sky was clear this afternoon. I was walking on the road near the village in the late afternoon when the sun was shining. Suddenly, I heard a familiar buzz. I looked and saw that road work had started. Preparations are underway to rebuild the road that had been in a bad condition for a long time. A huge yellow excavator machine is digging beside the road. This powerful machine with the word CAT is digging and leveling the road. A huge pile of excavated soil has accumulated beside the road. The digging has created a layer of reddish dust.
The presence of several workers in the midst of this work has increased the pace of work. One of them is busy at his workplace wearing a lungi and a plain shirt. Another worker walking beside him is wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He is working barefoot, which presents a realistic picture of the hardworking life of the common people of the village. He may be helping in the preparation of laying the soil by removing or placing a piece of brick in his hand. A silent understanding and hard work are emerging among everyone.
The main goal of this development work is to make this important means of communication in the village more modern and long-lasting. We see that a huge concrete or cement pipe is placed on the side of the road. This pipe may be placed under the road for drainage or water drainage, which will prevent water from accumulating during the rainy season and ensure the stability of the road.
This newly built road will make the lives of the people of the village easier. Vehicles will be able to move easily, which will have a positive impact on their economy and agriculture.
