I voted for Edmundo Gonzalez, I did it for my children, for liberty, I voted because I want to see my brothers and sisters again and embrace them and be united as a family, and in the face of the fraud that ISO the dictatorship perpetrated, I was filled with anger and tears because we all had the hope that they would come out with votes. We have to be more sensible and recognize that regimes and dictatorships do not come out with votes, it is sad, but these people come out by force and nobody wants that, for many Venezuelans we know this movie, we know that with its oppressive apparatus the regime comes out to repress when the people what they want is freedom, we have lived it before and that was one of the reasons that I migrated several years ago to my country.
Something that the people do not understand is that there is no way to remove a dictatorship only with protests or sanctions. The power is concentrated in the weapons, in the guns, and it is clear that the guns are in the hands of the dictatorship and the thugs of the colectivos. We can shout, we can tear down their statues, but we really need help, we cannot defeat them unarmed, that is the truth, and it is not that I want war or conflict for my country, but we would be fools just to think that these thieves and corrupt people are going to give up power so easily, they prefer to repress and kill us than to let us go free.
Before an idiot arrives, talk and criticize, in 2013 my first cousin was killed by the colectivos and they said he was a vandal and a terrorist and they planted a gun on him, my two brothers were imprisoned, beaten for several months and they filed files as terrorists for going out to protest and ask for fair elections. it is easy to talk, but going out to protest we do not know if we will return. My family protested, shouted, fought and we paid the price. many are now thank God are living outside the country, we all have family or a friend we know who have lost someone with this regime, but we continue with faith in God that he will use some instrument to get out of this regime and live again in the prosperous and beautiful Venezuela that we all knew. I make this post not only to unload my anger and feelings, but some of the opinionators who say that we Venezuelans are lukewarm, but they should be in our shoes to know what our people have lived and sacrificed.
