Who doesn't want an easy life? You don't? Well, I can't speak for you but I can say for myself, I do want an easy life and if there are things that can make life very easy for me, trust me, I'll go for it but one thing I have come to understand is that every choice we make always has consequences so we need to be careful about what we want or the kind of decision we make to get what we want.
You might be wondering why I'm saying this. Well, welcome to my blog, where we have to discuss the thought-provoking topic. The hivelearners have given us a topic we need to discuss that says, If there was a robot that could do every chore perfectly in the house, from cleaning to cooking and taking care of kids, would you get one of them? If it takes over all your chores, what then will you use the free time to do?

As I said earlier, I would do anything to make my life easier. I would definitely get this kind of robot under one condition, which is if I'm staying alone. If there is a robot that can prepare all kinds of delicacies and take care of my chores perfectly without causing a mess, I would definitely get it because my daily routine doesn't even give me enough time to go to the kitchen both in the morning and at night.
I need more time to be productive and do other things that would fetch me money. Having a robot will make me lack in some place, which means I won't use it always but I'll let it do most of my chores.
Now, the only reason I won’t use that robot is when I am married with kids. While growing up, my siblings and I did chores together and sometimes separately, which gave us a sense of responsibility I would really love to pass on to my kids. If I have a robot doing all the chores, I fear my children might grow up too dependent on it and miss out on learning basic life skills. Our daily chores include those little daily tasks like washing plates, sweeping the floor, learning to cook simple meals, washing our clothes and many more.
We learned discipline, patience, and teamwork. These are the values I want to instill in my own children, not just hand them everything on a silver platter.Besides, there’s also something about bonding over chores that I wouldn’t want them to miss. The small arguments over who should wash the dishes or the teamwork of cleaning up after dinner, those are the little things that build connection and character. Life shouldn’t always be about convenience.
Sometimes, it’s in the inconvenience that real growth happens. But for now? If it’s just me? Please bring the robot! Let it scrub, clean, cook, wash—everything! I’ll use the free time to improve my skills, maybe take a few online courses, start that side hustle I’ve been procrastinating on, or just rest and recharge because adulting is not a joke.
