The Division Series are here. The Phillies swallowed a loss against the Braves via the exact same script as the previous game: three bombs. Michael Harris II, Ozzie Albies, and Matt Olson took care of driving in the runs for a painful 6-2 L, and Philly will have to go home and kick rocks while watching the postseason from the couch. Now the game changes: a 5-game ALDS/NLDS where you gotta win three. And the Braves will have to dig deep this time because they’re heading to LA, where the powerhouse Dodgers are waiting for them. It’s not like Atlanta are scrubs, though. In fact, the Braves took the season series 5-1, sweeping at home and splitting on the road. The Dodgers’ rotation is straight up scary with Skubal and company; these Blue Crew boys look way more solid than their last two World Series championship squads, and the key to the series for the Georgia boys to have a puncher's chance will be shutting down the LA bats. There's just no other way. And while Atlanta’s starting rotation has some holes, they make up for it with a lights-out bullpen capable of slamming the door without any drama. Even though the Braves are our sentimental favorites, I got the Dodgers taking the series.

Something unprecedented will happen at American Family Field when the San Diego Padres visit the Milwaukee Brewers, clashing for the very first time in postseason history. With no October track record between them, we gotta look back at their 2026 season series: San Diego took it 4-2, sweeping at Petco and grabbing one on the road. And that right there might be the x-factor: home-field advantage. Milwaukee was way more lethal at home than on the road (55-26 vs. 48-33), while the Friars posted a losing record away from home. The Brew Crew’s roster depth is the envy of the Big Leagues, whereas the California rotation shows some holes, even if they can be masked by a shutdown bullpen. This is the toughest series to call, but if Tatis and company keep their bats hot, they could pull off the upset. Both squads are used to come-from-behind wins, but Milwaukee will need to cash in early if they don't want to run into a brick wall against that relief corps. One Misiorowski doesn't make a whole staff, but anyone in that Milwaukee pen can get the job done. The Brewers are the favorites to advance, even if our hearts are with the Friars.

"Who is Aaron Judge?" seems to be the question floating over the New York Yankees' dugout. In a total blowout performance, the Bronx Bombers swept the Red Sox into oblivion, putting up 18 runs over two games—and all without Judge on the roster. But the Rays are not the Sawx. The season series shows a razor-thin margin with no clear edge: Tampa up 7-6 over New York. Both rotations are pretty legit, with a slight advantage going to the Pinstripes. The Rays, much like Milwaukee, don't just rely on the long ball; they manufacture runs out of thin air, using small-ball fundamentals straight out of winter league ball. And that Florida advantage might just find the key to the series in that specific style the Bombers fail to dominate, as they depend way more on tape-measure shots. If Lombard, Rice, Bellinger, and company stay hot, who knows what Caminero, Aranda, and Díaz can do to answer back. Our sentimental favorites? The Rays for a triumphant return to the Trop, but the Yankees will take the ALDS if logic prevails.

It’s not like the Guardians have it easy, but... Two of the oldest clubs in baseball will square off for the first time ever in the postseason. The Chicago White Sox (1894) and the Cleveland Guardians (founded the same year) had a dead-even season series, with the South Siders barely up 7-6. With that track record, it’s impossible to tilt the scale either way. The Guardians boast one of the most lockdown rotations in baseball, which is the main reason they’re in the ALDS. On the flip side, the White Sox have a super young roster, but that didn't stop them from sweeping their wild card opponents, and being underestimated has been their biggest asset. But there’s something to keep in mind: even though they controlled a big chunk of the campaign, those same Guardians tracked them down to take the division. And that speaks volumes about the inconsistencies in the Chi-Town lineup. We highly fear this is the end of the road for the Wind City boys, because the Guardians will lock up the pennant without a doubt. Unless miracles happen.
