My spiritual and memorable journey to the Dargah of Imam Hussain situated amidst high mountains, unpaved roads and a centuries-old fort.

Greetings of the day,

There are some journeys in life which do not just show the places, but leave a strange light and peace inside the heart. Recently I had one such journey – towards the Dargah of Imam Hussain situated in the lap of mountains. This place is as far away as it is close to the heart. The higher it is, the more spiritual it is.

When we started this journey, there was a slight feeling of fatigue in the mind – after all, climbing hills is not easy – but at the same time there was also a strange pull, as if someone was calling from above. Rows of mountains became visible from a distance. The sun was clear, the wind was light and the sky was absolutely blue. It seemed as if the entire nature was preparing a path for this journey.

As we progressed, the true form of the mountains began to emerge. It is clearly visible even in the photographs – tall, stone-covered mountains, whose slopes were covered with greenery. Dense trees spread across the valley, and a long stream of sun rays above them… it seemed as if the sky itself was coming down and touching the ground.

To reach the height at which the Dargah is built, you have to pass through rough paths made of stones. At some places there were big protruding stones, at some places small slopes – climbing and slipping at every step, but there was fun hidden in that. At many places on the way, people would stop for a while to take a breath, children would run here and there, and the elderly would move forward slowly with the help of sticks… Everyone's pace was different, but the aim was the same – to reach the top.
