Love is one very strong word that is often used by people, you hear parents tell their children how much they love them, and the children in return reciprocate. Husbands tell their wives they love them, and the wives in turn reciprocate, girlfriends tell their boyfriends how much they love them and the boyfriends reciprocate the word to their girlfriends. Everywhere you go, you hear this word called love, among families, among friends, colleagues even sometimes so many more.
As a lady, what do you consider more: Careful decisions about whom to love, or the freedom to be spontaneous about it? Do you care more about present moments or future results of your decisions? Why?
Hm
So the question is would I consider a careful decision regarding whom to love, or would I be spontaneous about it, well I am melancholic in nature, and if you know us, we don't just let things happen, or rather we don't leave things to chance.
If left to choose, I would be careful in choosing whom to love, but most times, we can't tell the heart how to feel.
Love can happen to anyone and anywhere, It might just be a simple hello from someone, and the way a person says it just makes your heart all giddy, and after a series of conversations, you just begin to develop feelings for this person. The more you guys get to know each other the more your feelings grow, is this bad? Absolutely No!
I remember some years back, there was this guy I met in school, we had some classes together, I just loved the way he was always so eloquent, and had the answer for almost any question asked by our lecturer, to add salt to injury, he was so cute, he had that sort of face that drew girls to him without even him speaking before I knew what was happening I was trying to have conversations with him, I found myself pruning over him, I had to call myself to order. Because I knew he wasn't the kind of person I wanted for myself.
It's good to allow spontaneity sometimes, common what would life be like without it, but while being spontaneous, I would look for the qualities I desire. I would also look out for mutual respect, shared values, compatibility, etc. before I get serious with someone.
I believe intentionality and consideration in choosing whom to love plays a very big role in creating a foundation for a stable and healthy relationship. Although in some instances, that might not be the case, even after carefully considering whom to love, one might still get involved with someone who isn't right for you. Hence the reason for a little bit of spontaneity.
Basically, I think whatever path one decides to take, be careful decision of whom to love or spontaneity, it totally depends on what works for you. So at the end, it's a do what works for you thingy, the end would surely justify the means as the saying goes.
I used to be someone who cared more about the future compared to the present in some aspects of life like saving money, and depriving myself from some things so as to be able to access and afford them in the future.
But after some series of events occurred around me, I discovered that this life doesn't have so much in it, as much as it is wise to plan for the future, I have also learned to live for the future because if I don't live my life now to my satisfaction, I will look back in later years and regret it.
So for now, I'm living life one day at a time, one milestone at a time, while still making plans and preparations for the future, so that many years from today, I can look back and appreciate the quality of life I lived.
Thank you for stopping by, until next time
