Greetings friends, for me it is a pleasure to share with you another of my splinterlands inspired sculpts. Some time ago I shared one of Rexxie, a sculpture that I really liked.

Now I would like to show you a similar but much more interesting one inspired by another of the game's characters called Undead Rexx. Below you can see a picture of the sculpture and the reference image.

Saludos amigos, para mi es un gusto compartir con ustedes otra de mis esculturas inspiradas en splinterlands. Hace un tiempo compartí una de Rexxie, una escultura que me gustó mucho.

Ahora me gustaría mostrarles una parecida pero mucho más interesante inspirada en otro de los personajes del juego llamado Undead Rexx. A continuación pueden ver un foto de la escultura y la imagen de referencia.

Step by step

The materials I used for this sculpture were: Plasticine, cardboard, wire and paints; I also used tools such as tweezers, scissors, brushes and molding tools.

Paso a paso

Los materiales que utilicé para esta escultura fueron: Plastilina, cartulina, alambre y pinturas; además, utilicé herramientas como pinzas, tijeras, pinceles y herramientas para moldear.

The first thing I did was the base. This is a dynamic sculpture, that is, the mouth of the tyrannosaurus is open, so I made this wire skeleton to keep the shape better than the previous one I made.

Lo primero que hice fue la base. Esta es una escultura dinámica, es decir, la boca del tiranosaurio está abierta, así que le hice este esqueleto de alambre para que conserve la forma de mejor manera que la anterior que hice.

With the base ready and well elaborated, I began to cover the wire with purple plasticine, which is the base color of this sculpture. Then I would paint it, but I chose this purple color because I thought it was the right color to simulate the color that such a creature would have if it existed in a 3D world.

Con la base lista y bien elaborada, comencé a cubrir el alambre con plastilina de color morado, que es el color base que tiene esta escultura. Luego la pintaría, pero elegí este morado porque me pareció acertado para simular el color que tendría una criatura así en caso de que existiera en un mundo 3D.

I made the mouth open and continued molding it until I created the basic shape that tyrannosaurus rex, or this Undead Rexx, as it is called in the game, usually have. There inside the mouth I placed more light purple plasticine, to give a different color to this part of the mouth.

La boca la hice abierta y continué moldeando hasta crear la forma básica que suelen tener los tiranosaurios rex, o este Undead Rexx, como se le llama en el juego. Allí en el interior de la boca le coloqué más plastilina de color morado claro, para darle un color distinto a esta parte de la boca.

At this point it was a sculpture similar to the one I made of Rexxie, however, here it had to have distinctive features, such as the wounds and the elements that identify it as a decomposing creature.

It was basically damaging the sculpture, making cuts and holes without much care. I made holes in the right eye and a big cut on the right side of the mouth and jaw, where I opened it a little more than normal and in this opening I placed a few folds of stretched skin.

En este punto era una escultura parecida a la que hice de Rexxie, sin embargo, aquí había que hacerle rasgos distintivos, como las heridas y los elementos que lo identifican como una criatura en descomposición.
Fue básicamente dañar la escultura, haciéndole cortes y agujeros dañados sin mucho cuidado. Le hice agujeros en el ojo derecho y un gran corte en el lado derecho de la boca y la mandíbula, donde la abrí un poco más de lo normal y en esta apertura le coloqué unos cuantos pliegues de piel estirada.

To simulate the reptile shape of the skin, I made small touches with the rounded tip of the needle, to create this texture that you can see in the photo below.

Para simular la forma de reptil de la piel, le hice pequeños toques con la punta redondeada de la aguja, para crear esta textura que pueden observar en la foto de abajo.

Then I started to glue his teeth. I made them huge, as if he was a different kind of Rexx with bigger teeth. Each of the teeth I made individually, making a hole for each little tooth, which I fixed with glue.

Después comencé a pegarle los dientes. Se los hice enormes, como si fuese una especie diferente de Rexx con dientes más grandes. Cada uno de los dientes los hice de manera individual, haciendo un agujero para cada dientito, los cuales fijé con pegamento.

I made the eyes a phosphorescent green color, the right eye being the one with the broken and skinless sockets, totally shattered like the right side of this Rexx.

Los ojos los hice de un color verdes fosforescente, siendo el ojo derecho el que tenía las cuencas rotas y sin piel, totalmente destrozado como el lado derecho de este Rexx.

The last step was to add a few more details such as the tongue, stitched cuts and paint, a little bit of different shades of black, blue and purple to give more depth to the sculpture.

Ya el último paso fue agregar unos cuantos detalles más como la lengua, cortaduras cosidas y pintura, un poco de distintas tonalidades de negro, azul y morado para darle mayor profundidad a la escultura.

This is how the sculpture was finished. Below you can see a series of photographs of the final result:
