This is the #45th issue of the "Week through Adrian's Lenses" weekly Hive and crypto news roundup.
Let's see what we have for this week.

Splinterlands: Rebellion Presale Is Over and Land 1.5 Release Delayed
The Rebellion pack presale almost sold out in the last few hours as players and investors tried to secure the spots they were aiming for on the leaderboard. Less than 8k packs were needed to reach the 500k limit, considering both purchase and bonus packs.
On Monday's Town Square, Matt explained why Land 1.5 rollout from the next day might have been postponed. The decision was taken later on Monday to delay to November 28th and announced on Discord.
Also this week, the Splinterlands team announced on Discord they copied real-asset holdings to the Mavs server (cards in particular, but probably titles too) so that players can test their initial setup before launch. Of course, if your Mav account is different than the account where you have the cards and from where you'd play Land, it doesn't help, unless you move(d) them to the Mavs account to test and then back. I preferred not to do it, even if that meant being less prepared when the game started.
At this point, it seems to me that the emphasis on having the best start in the Land game has reached a too high level. Yes, there will be an incentive to be the first to collect rewards and not share them with others, but I am wondering if the game servers will handle the first few minutes of Landplay or if we will have lots of frustrated players...
And finally, some skills regarding the Goals game have changed.
Hive Core Developers Meeting
A short core developers meeting took place this week. Blocktrades talks at the end about a topic that came up in a post regarding potential changes to how voting power is diminished on consecutive votes. He asks for feedback on why this was implemented the way it is now and if a change would make things better or worse (if there are any pitfalls). It doesn't hurt a larger contribution to this discussion from people who understand what it is about. And does anyone know what article he refers to?
CTT Discussion on HBD Supply Expansion
I haven't listened to the recording yet, but the title says it is about expanding HBD supply without using APR. That is an important topic to listen to, whether you agree with what will be discussed or not. I know I will listen to it.
They also published the regular SPK Network team meeting, which is a way to check on the progress of the related DHF proposals.
Hive PHP Lib Update
For PHP programmers, it's great to have a Hive library kept up to date. @bambukah let us know he updated that library.
Actifit Integrated 3Speak Videos
After Ecency, Actifit is among the first to integrate 3Speak videos on their platform. This is the official tutorial on how to use the new feature on Actifit.
Holozing "Insider Information" :)
@acidyo published another important post with details about the Holozing game and how it will work, delving more into how the "starter packs" will work, but not only.
There is also a social content run by Holozing currently.
Rising Star Added a Shopping Cart
The new update from Rising Star allows players to buy multiple cards in a single transaction, using the same currency, which should be an important ease-of-use booster. It's curious that they added this so late, but maybe they were relying on 3rd party markets. Personally, I wouldn't use it much since I generally buy packs, but someone who builds up his account by choosing what cards to buy from the p2p market will find this very useful.
Ragnarok Moving to Open Test Phase
It's been a while since we've seen updates from Ragnarok, but closed testing and development were still going on. Now the game moves to an open test phase, where everyone can participate. They are also looking into providing a web-based interface, to make it easier accessible to a wider number of people who are interested in that.
@dalz Is Running a HBD Bonds Experiment
This is a small-scale, manual (and centralized) project that aims to see how many people would lock up HBD for 3 months for a +10% APR on top of what the savings offer, guaranteed by @dalz. It's on a first-come, first-served basis, maximum 10k HBD for the entire project. See the details.
Hive Docu - Documenting Hive
This is a project by @mynewlife - now in the planning phase - that will contain a collection of "meticulously curated" "videos, films, documentaries, and promotional content centered around Hive, its community, and our collective endeavors".
The author includes an example video in 4k resolution that shows this project would be a great addition to Hive if this is the kind of quality to expect.
Adding a Block Feature to Hive?
@ura-soul wants feedback on whether adding a block feature to Hive, besides muting, would prevent things like stalking someone that made some people leave Hive and would have a positive impact on the freedom of association.
DBuzz Team Is Active...
... working to list HIVE on Coins.ph and being at Think Hackathon in Davao City.
I know they want to use their interface, but it would help if they had longer-form content (written or video) published with their accomplishments, when they have them... Just an opinion, of course.
I believe I remember them saying they'll support long-form content on @DBuzz too. So, maybe they are waiting for that...
Hive Custom GPT Model?
AI is already on Hive, but I came across this Hive custom GPT model based on ChatGPT. One needs ChatGPT Plus to use it (which is 20$/month), so I don't see many willing to pay the price, but I liked the second test case shown, in particular.
Life of Hive
A short "Life of Hive" section today, because I lengthened the "Week on Hive" too much, and some of them could have also been suited for this section.
THIRSTY THURSDAY in London
For Hive meetup lovers, here's another one, which takes place in London on November 30th. Details about the exact location and time in @alessandrawhite's post.
Hive Short Ad in Tone with Trends
I don't know if you remarked, but we have an influx of people who know how to create and process video content (shorts) in a way that appeals more to the consumers of such content from other video social media platforms. This is a Spanish ad for Hive that showcases these qualities. It may appeal to you or not, but it is what lots of people consume now online.
Week in the Crypto World
Tether Plans Expansion into Bitcoin Mining
USDT may be a stablecoin, but its issuer Tether certainly has plans outside the stablecoins business.
Tether aims to control 1% of bitcoin's mining hash rate, and for that, they plan to invest 500m USD in the next 6 months.
Bithumb Apparently Wants to Go Public in South Korea
Coinbase may soon not be the only(?) exchange that is publicly traded. Bithumb, a Top 10 CEX by volume, apparently wants to go the same path, but in South Korea, where it is located, not in the US.
