Learning is an everlasting journey that empowers us as individuals to grow. It doesn't stop because there is always something to learn as we grow. Refusing to learn comes with great consequences, especially in today's world where developments happen very fast, leaving those who have refused to learn the new ways struggling.

It's not necessarily something we must do within the four walls of a classroom. It can be a skill or even an experience capable of shaping our perspectives, helping us to grow physically, mentally, financially, and in many other ways.

I believe that the impact of learning doesn't end today; it definitely finds a way to help us in the future. That must be why there is a saying that no knowledge or skill acquired in life is wasted. Even if that thing learned today doesn't really have much impact, we literally can't tell about the future.

We assimilate differently, yet learning is compulsory for those who really want to grow. We are all humans, but with different strengths and weaknesses, so learning doesn't happen the same way for everyone. While some people learned to walk or speak quickly as kids, it took some people forever, and yet they did because they didn't stop learning with the help of their parents or guardians.

It's the same thing in schools. There are students who can grab whatever the teacher taught right there in the classroom, while there are those who have to read several times before they can understand.

I have my fair share of struggling with learning, and it happened with one of the things many kids find very easy. When it comes to learning tedious things, I find it quite easy, and there are several things I can do today that I didn't formally learn. I did these things myself several times and eventually became really good, but that one thing did me dirty.

Cycling was a big trend when I was growing up, and kids who couldn't do it were considered aliens. Why wouldn't you know how to cycle? It was the easiest of things, and many kids learned in the space of an hour after a few injuries, but for me, it took forever.

Balancing on two wheels was a huge issue for me back then. I didn't know how, so let's just consider it a phobia.

It felt like I would fall, and I always fell whenever I tried riding a bicycle, which was very embarrassing because my mates did it very easily. I was mocked and laughed at, yet my anger didn't change anything. It didn't help me get better, and I gave up eventually because I didn't even have the resources to learn in the first place.

I didn't have a bicycle, and using other kids' bicycles wasn't really my thing after I was blamed for damaging someone else's video game while playing with it. I would rent a bicycle for a few minutes but would end up pushing it with my hands or allowing my brother to ride because he could ride when I couldn't. I was like that for a while, and my brother was the only teacher I had.

He carefully taught me, but it was just too difficult for me. I always thought I wouldn't even know how to ride because it took me too much time and I still couldn't ride but the struggle continued until my efforts got rewarded. I was able to balance on two wheels after several falls, and it happened like a miracle.

The first time I got it right, I didn't want to stop pedaling because it felt like I might not get it right again. I wanted to live in that moment as much as I could, but it had to end, and trying again came with so many doubts. Yet, I did get it right.

I felt like the happiest kid in the world and could say that one of the things I exhausted my money on back then was renting a bicycle. I preferred renting one instead of taking a motorcycle when sent on an errand. It became part of my everyday life for some time.

The experience was a huge one for me, and it taught me the importance of not giving up when we desire to learn something we really want. Anger doesn't really help us learn for a good cause, so it's best to learn for personal growth rather than to prove people wrong.
