The importance of education in the world today can't be quantified, and unlike many people think, getting educated isn't restricted to the four walls of a classroom. Go about asking people what the meaning of education is, and I can tell that many will boldly say it is the process of acquiring knowledge in school, which is true to an extent because education is definitely about acquiring knowledge but not just within schools. There is a lot to learn in this universe we live in; it's beyond just chemistry or solving mathematics, and it all boils down to adding more value to ourselves.

For me, education starts at home for every human. As infants, we take our first lessons from our parents, and it's one of the most important stages of learning since it's the foundation that prepares us for any other form of learning that will come later in life. It's quite impressive to see a lot of parents teaching more than morals, they go as far as preparing their children for school education which is a big deal to me because it's not an easy task combined with making ends meet.

A lot of parents have failed in their parenting duties just because they failed to build a proper foundation for their children. Instead of playing their part in educating their children, they make it the duty of teachers.

Yes, a child will learn in school, but the school studies are specialized on a different type of learning, just like society teaches us something completely different. School teachers aren't employed to teach just one pupil in the classroom, and they can't have the time to take on the parents responsibilities when it comes to teaching their kids. Despite the differences in what we learn from our parents, school, and society, the knowledge they are all offering us is vital for growth especially in the real world.

Despite the fact that education isn't restricted to schools, the things we learn behind those walls are of great importance because the knowledge we acquired there is one of the reasons why many of us could have a proper engagement on the Hive blockchain. School education is why we have doctors, engineers, and many other professionals bringing progress to society today and it's understandable why many humans have made it mandatory.

As mandatory as it might, surviving the real world challenges is beyond the knowledge acquired in schools. I have always believed that the test out there requires all forms of knowledge we have acquired through education because if one doesn't work out, another one will.

My mom always said no knowledge is wasted in life, and even though I always think somethings aren't really important, I don't hesitate to learn whenever the opportunity shows up, and being a quick learner with practicality, I am being able to do a lot of things that are helping me survive today.

As a student, I never learned cooking in school, but there was a crucial time I put the skill to use and it really helped me. I learned this from my mother, but with the help of school education, I was able to present my business in a very exciting way, and there was no how you would compare me to a regular roadside seller. The society knowledge helped me with having the needed interaction with my customers, and everything combined made me succeed with the business back then.

Whether from our parents, school, or society, no knowledge is a waste because times will come when we need to apply this knowledge differently.

On the other hand, I feel really concerned about what education has become at different levels. It's disappointing to see that the knowledge acquired in schools is slowly becoming insignificant, especially at the university level, where outdated curriculums are used, especially in third-world countries.

After graduation, it's sad that many students can't boast of their knowledge in the real world because they didn't know what they really needed to know. While some were able to acquire this knowledge elsewhere, some aren't financially buoyant enough, and that's just the end of it all.

Parents and the society are not left out, as we see a lot happening today, and you will wonder what the upcoming generation will learn from this generation filled with unreasonable adults.

I don't expect 100% perfection when it comes to learning from school, our parents, and even society, but they should at least cover a good percentage while life and experience can take care of the rest.

Thanks to the internet today, a lot of students are able to catch up with the updates in their respective fields, but the distraction on the internet is another great struggle. It still beats down to the fact that we can't expect knowledge acquisition to be perfect since there will always be something to learn and setbacks with learning as well.

It would be fair to say that education is a lifetime journey that doesn't end within the classroom walls. It is a multifaceted process that includes our parents, schools, society, and even personal experience. By opening our minds to them, we can unlock our full potential.

With all these forms of education I spoke about, we can develop oso many things about us needed to thrive in the real world but that would only happen when we embrace the diversity in learning and challenge the limitations of modern education, parent education, and what society has to offer.
