To get rid of the hustle and bustle of life, we should sometimes go to some places where life does not stop but continues at its own pace. On one such cloudy afternoon, I went to Joydevpur Railway Station. Amidst the surrounding noise and the busyness of people, a different kind of peace hides along these railway lines. When the cold wind hit me after reaching the station, all the fatigue in my mind disappeared in an instant.
While looking around the station, I saw people of different professions and ages. An old man wrapped in a sheet is walking alone to himself, while another is walking quickly towards his destination with a heavy bag on his shoulder. Each of these people has a different story in their lives, which makes the station even more lively. When people walk in groups holding these parallel iron sheets, it seems like everyone is a traveler on a single path. It is truly worth seeing how the brick and stone buildings of the city have come close to the greenery through this railway line.
In this magical time of the afternoon, the surrounding nature also takes on a new form. The multi-storey buildings stand on one side and the fair of green plants on the other. The huge mobile tower standing high in the distance seems to be blending with the cloudy sky. The noise of the platform, the anxiety of the people waiting for the train, and this soft light of the late afternoon all combined to create a wonderful atmosphere.
It was a truly wonderful feeling for me to take some time out from my busy city life and spend this afternoon at Joydevpur Railway Station.
