Nature is waiting for the evening to fall. It is raining heavily outside. When I stepped towards the market on such a quiet afternoon for daily needs, the surrounding scene was a little different. The roads were almost deserted due to the rain, yet some people did not stop in their pursuit of life. Suddenly, I caught sight of an old man standing in a corner of the market, who was hunched over with age, which touched my heart.
While many people in the market are running to their destinations quickly with umbrellas on their heads to escape the intensity of the rain, the old vegetable seller is sitting under a colorful umbrella. The shop has no permanent roof, only a plastic canopy and a small umbrella on his head. The raindrops falling in torrents are falling on his body, his body is somehow curled up in wet clothes. But even in that situation, he is sitting in his mind arranging vegetables, as if the lack of life and the obstacles of rain have no power to suppress him.

Fresh vegetables are arranged in his small space. The drenched people are returning to their destinations one by one through the side streets, some are walking quickly to escape the rain. But does this old man have that chance? At the end of the day, he is standing in the hope of finding two handfuls of food, ignoring this hostile weather of nature.
For many of us, rain means sitting in the corner of the house, drinking tea and coffee, and chatting. But at the same time, for this man in the same city, rain means a new test of survival. His calm but firm stance explains how difficult the struggle for livelihood can be. He may not be making any special complaints, nor is he asking for mercy from anyone; he just wants the reward for his honest hard work.

This scene shows us with his finger that life means struggle. Every person is fighting to survive from his own position. Looking at the old vegetable seller's wet body and indomitable courage, I unknowingly bow my head. Perhaps the rainy moments on the roadside teach us the best about how easy and how difficult life can be. I have deep respect for him and wish him well, may his wet labor today be fruitful.
