Afternoon means a different kind of pleasure and a great time to refresh the tired body between work. Yesterday, after leaving the office, my eyes were caught by a familiar jhalmuri shop on the side of the road. Seeing the jhalmuri arranged in rows on the shop's plate and the beautiful red ripe tomatoes surrounding it will capture anyone's heart. After seeing this scene, it is really a big responsibility to control the greed.

The jhalmuri on the roadside of our country is not just a food but it covers a large area of Bengali emotion and love. Especially after office hours, the fun of eating jhalmuri while standing and chatting with colleagues is different. When the jhalmuri seller skillfully mixes jhalmuri with chanachur onion, green chili, coriander leaves, chopped mustard oil and special spices, its aroma fills the surrounding air.

As seen in the picture, the combination of muri amidst the surrounding red tomatoes is enough to make your mouth water in a single glance. And when you get that battered jhalmuri in your hand in a paper bowl or on a plate, it seems like all the fatigue in the world has disappeared in an instant. A little spicy, a little sour, and the pungent aroma of mustard oil combine to make the feeling of eating this jhalmuri incomparable.

Forgetting the busyness and pressure of the day, the moments spent with such a simple yet extraordinary food are the best part of the day. This jhalmuri on the roadside reminds us of the pull of our roots and the small feelings of happiness again and again.
