Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt 110>>"Putting Yourself First"

WELCOME TO HIVE-REACHOUT COMMUNITY
Do well to subscribe to our community

Love is preached everywhere in the world today; people are taught how to support and care for others through giving, words of encouragement, and so on.
But sadly, teachings about self-love are rare. People can convenience themselves just to come through for others, but they can not inconvenience themselves for themselves.
Some people can give out the only money they have to support others and remain stranded. Some can motivate others when they are down but can't do same for themselves.
Nothing is wrong with being sacrificial, but when it gets to the point where what we call “sacrifice” is affecting us negatively, then I think that is no longer sacrifice.
A balance must be struck; it's not right to lose yourself while trying to save another. In fact, if you can save yourself first, you stand the chance to help others much better. Nevertheless, one must be careful not to give room for selfishness while striking this balance.
For this week's prompt, tell us how we can strike the balance between loving ourselves and loving others. How do we do this in such a way that one side doesn't suffer while attending to the other?"
We look forward to reading your amazing entries. Please don't forget to engage with each other's entries.
