Hive came to me as one of those shooting-star-wishes-come-true, the truth is, it's everything I really needed at the time, I love to write, I always want to pen down my thoughts and express my self on those papers, maybe I wasn't that vocal outside but when it comes to the secrets of writing my voice is most loud.

my day isn't complete if I haven't stopped by on hive, it became part of me, a daily routines, the friends I made here, the communities of like minds, the feedbacks told me that I was valuable too, with the help of my mentor I, for the first time stepped on a three-month writing challenge, I loved it, it made me super creative with words, i wasn't focused on the earning, whether I got upvoted or not, to me it was like on-the-job-training, and I could also earn while learning.

but gradually things started falling apart, the market crash affected everything and everyone emotionally, psychologically, financially and otherwise, there were people who made this space fun and engaging all of a sudden it's like I lost track of them, few are still interacting with the ecosystem others probably find their niche elsewhere with better rewards.

trying times?

I had a lover, today is her birthday, we had the kind of bonding with forever in view, my mind was made up and I never sight anything that would jeopardize things cause I was really in on making things worked, but then during one of those trying times things went side ways, and in such cases didn't last, but still I thought about it, while things were rosy it was one of the sweetest experiences I've hard so far, late night chats with long episodes of the kind of messages that you'd read a thousand times and still be smiling like a fool.

I know alot of persons, most creators and curators have probably given up, the trying times was too harsh, so they rather pitch their tenth somewhere else.

I know tones of others who have probably stopped showing up here and I'm wondering like I'm i? the last man standing, I still do because beyond hive, writing is therapeutic, I do because it's what I naturally love doing, those who had other motives probably got demotivated along the way.

what's the future of hive for you

I'm still glad to see some old folks still showing up despite all that have happened, I still see some communities still engaging its members with weekly constest like nothing happened, vibrant community members, who still engage, some curators who still sponsor contest and upvotes valuable content, still supporting amazing authors, some Dapps, keeping up the updates, renovating the apps and ecosystem, improving functionality and staring things up as usual, all these gives me faith and hope.

there are days I don't feel like, there are days I get lots of ideas to put out, I still struggle to keep up myself, atimes I just show up and engage with some of my favorites and that alone stairs something in me and I'm energize.

I might not really understand the debt of crypto or the future of things at the moment but I know for sure the trying times will end and things will get back up again, we're a community of like minded people connected on a decentralized ecosystem called hive, it's much more than just blogging, we're sharing insights educating one another and helping transform one of the world's most powerful decentralized web3 blogging platform.
