Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am once again joining the weekly contest [Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Grandma Would Approve]( con leche, I want to get married,” a song my grandmother taught me and a dessert she really liked. There were others, like guava paste and gelatin, as well as quesillo. My grandmother used to make coconut quesillo for me, but she never taught me how to make it—I never asked her. My grandmother liked fried foods, but she liked desserts even more, so on this occasion, my grandmother would love some delicious rice pudding.

This recipe is very easy; it calls for just a few ingredients that are easy to find—we usually always have them at home—and it takes no time at all to make, so you can enjoy it right away.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- Ground cinnamon to taste
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation
1.- Rinse the rice, then add it to the pot with the milk.

2.- Add a cinnamon stick and the sugar. Mix.

3.- Add the vanilla, and over low heat, cook the rice without letting it boil, stirring occasionally (to prevent it from sticking and to ensure even cooking) until the milk has reduced and the rice is tender. It shouldn't be dry; there should still be a little liquid left.

All done! Now we can serve the rice pudding in portions and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top to taste. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.

I hope you liked it, this has been my participation in Hive Top Chef competition. See you another time.
