Two months left for the year and I'm quite stoked to have reached one thing that I have been aiming to check off before 2024.
But before that, it's HPUD or Hive Power Up Day and as usual, there is no thinking about whether or not we continue to stake HIVE. We just do it! Speaking of which, today's power up pushed the numbers to finally achieving my long-awaited goal!

And so I'm in a celebratory mood. Please don't mind me blabbering too much. My active journey on this chain started on the 1st of January 2022 and it's truly been quite an adventure and a grind since - showing up daily on the blockchain no matter what.
In retrospect, I'm thankful for the long bearish season. Why? It made me reach the goal faster. If HIVE's price had been above the dollar like it was in 2021 and 2022, it might take a longer while to stack up. Or maybe I'm seeing it the other way around but while the price is lower, our content gets more $HIVE payout.
I don't remember who was it I read from but he also mentioned he wants the current price to remain for a while so he can accumulate more HIVE before the bull market. And I see where he is coming from. It would be the opposite for others though especially when they are depending on their Hive earnings for their day-to-day expenses. Of course, there is nothing wrong with any of these. It really depends on what we are trying to accomplish or where we use our own rewards. And that's the beauty of this chain, allowing us to decide on how we benefit from it.
And for me, I see it as a long-term project or business that I need to keep growing. It certainly is one of those things that I am convinced and take pride in doing. I am sure some or most of you can relate to the feeling of being able to build something that is truly our own and add to that, we enjoy the process too.
Anyway, if you are new, HPUD or HivePUD is an initiative, an event or shall I say tradition every first of the month where we stake at least 10 HIVE and create a post about it, sharing our thoughts or how we are progressing.
There are prizes to be won by the eligible participants (which obviously I'm not anymore but I still love doing it with the community).
Increasing one's Hive Power (HP) or staked HIVE means more voting power which translates to more curation rewards which is another earning opportunity here on Hive besides monetizing our own content or interactions.

Meanwhile, I am also on a mission to keep growing this account's Leo Power, and with that in mind, I staked some today. LEO is one of a number of Hive Engine tokens that I see value in or feel bullish about (NFA).
And speaking of it, the Leo Ads smart contract is set to go live today. I'm not sure about the distribution but we will see how it goes. But the idea is that Leo Power holders will get their share in the form of staked LEO . That means we will see our LP grow little by little or a lot bigger for those with large amounts of Leo Power.
